Hey everyone! I’ve been a little MIA these past few weeks because I’ve been working on the Ultimate Skin Mod. It’s been really interesting learning how to mod with different tuning files and classes, and I’m excited to finally share what I’ve been working on!

I wanted to give you a quick overview of what’s coming and, more importantly, get your input on a few features.

Please note: Some features may change before release, but this is what I’m currently planning!

🧴 Skin Health System

The mod will introduce a new Skin Health System that allows your Sim’s skin to change over time.

The system will track:

• Dryness

• Oiliness

• Acne

• Dullness / Radiance

These will work similarly to motives — they will change over time, and your Sim’s skin will visibly change in stages depending on their skin health.

Your Sims will need to maintain a skincare routine if they want to keep their skin looking its best!

Skin Types

Sims will have one of three main skin types:

• Oily

• Dry

• Normal

They can also have additional traits:

• Naturally Radiant

• Acne-Prone

These traits are currently planned to be assigned randomly.

🪞 Skincare Routines

Sims will also be able to find a skincare routine or ask their Smart Mirror to recommend one.

Routines will work similarly to clubs or events, giving your Sim a series of goals to complete.

💄 Brands

There will be five skincare brands included in the mod, each with its own price point, aesthetic and efficacy.

🩺 Aesté Medical Spa

A rabbit-hole medical spa offering advanced skincare treatments, inspired by the Korean medspa treatments that have become popular for their dramatic skin transformations.

Your Sim's traits can influence whether they have a positive or negative experience, and these treatments will have the highest efficacy in the mod.

• IV Therapy

• Advanced Skin Treatments

• Injectables

🌿 Aer Skin

A high-end luxury skincare brand focused on holistic skin wellness, with inspiration from brands like IKKARI and Aesop.

Efficacy: High

Products:

• Cleanser

• Toner

• Serum

• Moisturiser

🍓 Sundae & Co.

A mid-range skincare brand with a more playful feel, inspired by brands like Good Molecules.

Efficacy: Medium

Products:

• Cleanser

• Toner

• Serum

• Moisturiser

☀️ Sol 32°

A lower-priced celebrity skincare brand founded by Olivia and Thorne Bailey, with a Rhode-inspired aesthetic at a more accessible price point. ☺️

Efficacy: Low

Products:

• Cleanser

• Toner

• Moisturiser

🔬 Neumi

Neumi is the core skincare brand of the mod, focused on skincare advancement, precision and technology.

It takes inspiration from brands like Medicube, COSRX and Clinique.

Products & Devices:

• Conductive Gel

• Jelly Sheet Masks

• Clay Mask

• Skin Gummies

• Skin Health Drinks

• LED Therapy Mask

• Booster Pro-style Device

• Smart Mirror

I’m also considering adding LED under-eye patches, but I’m not completely sure yet. They may come in a future update instead.

💭 I Want Your Input!

I have a few things I’d love to get your opinion on:

1. How should skincare routines work?

A: You choose the type of routine you want to do, e.g. a Hydration Routine

B: The Smart Mirror chooses a routine based on your Sim’s current skin needs

2. How should the Skin Health System start?

A: Start everyone at a neutral baseline

B: Randomly assign your Sim’s starting skin state — for example, they could start with a breakout, very dry skin, or naturally radiant skin.

3. How should skin types be assigned?

A: Randomly assigned

B: Player assigned

4. Should Aesté Medical Spa offer cosmetic procedures?

For example, procedures like liposuction or body contouring, potentially involving CAS.

I didn't originally include these because KikoVanity already has a more detailed cosmetic surgery system, but I wanted to ask if this is something you would still like to see included.
