Update Notes

• 01/11/2026 - Fixed issue with kids not being able to board the bus

⚠️ Known limitations (please read first!)

• Not every residential lot is supported - The animation has only been tested on residential lots with specific road types in front of them. Lots with no road in front won’t get school bus service at all.

• Max 8 kids per household - Up to 8 children and teens can ride on the school bus

• Lag can delay the bus - If your game is lagging, the bus may not spawn on time. Pausing for a moment helps it catch up.

• Ultra speed glitches - At Speed 3, some animation glitches may occur. Speed 1 or 2 is smoothest.

• Routing and clipping - The bus needs clear space in front of it. So keep your sims out of the road when the bus is arriving and/or departing

• Nordhaven World - Currently working on adding compatibility for this world which i expect to be added for an update next week

🏡 Residential Lot Compatibility

I've also put together a document detailing residential lot compatibility for the mod.

School Bus Service – Residential Lot Compatibility List

Please note: If you don't see a particular world listed in the document, it's because ALL residential lots in that world should be compatible. There are hundreds of residential lots across The Sims 4, and unfortunately not all of them are suitable for the School Bus Service due to their layouts and road access.

If there are any specific residential lots you'd like me to prioritise adding compatibility for, please let me know!

🧰 Test commands (optional)

For anyone who wants to see how the bus arrives and departs from specific residential lots without having to wait for school time or if you are just nosey😋 i will be providing the test commands for next weeks update.

Installation Requirements – (MANDATORY)

This mod will require the following to work

Everyone Must Install:

• Lot51 Core Library – Core Library | Lot 51 • Mods and CC for The Sims

‼️‼️MAKE SURE YOU DELETE THE NON-ANIMATED VERSION OF THE SCHOOL BUS SERVICE MOD IF USING THIS VERSION

Please let me know via my Discord https://discord.com/invite/J9JWGzch3E or the comments below. Please tell me the world and lot(if you can), and whether it happened with a test command or during a normal school morning. Screenshots or clips are super helpful!
