🌍 Political World Mod Update 🛠️
Hey Guys! I’ve made a few improvements to the Political World mod based on some feedback and request. Huge thanks to those of you who shared ideas and flagged issues. Here's what’s new in this build:
🔧 Libertarian Trait Improvements
Based on feedback, Libertarian Sims are no longer negatively impacted by simply owning a small business.
Libertarian Sims will also now receive a positive buff when they do own a small business. Because what says “freedom” more than being your own boss?
🕵️♂️ Sims can now request permission to leave the Illuminati.
To do so, they must find an NPC Illuminati member and ask for permission to leave. But beware… if your Sim isn’t on good terms with the illuminati, the consequences might be... dramatic. 🫣

Would you possibly be able to make this mod into modules or something so we could add in the parts that we want and remove some parts that we don't? Just because personally my family and friends are being very negatively effected by Trump and Elon's policies so it makes me upset to see them in my game that I consider my escape. I love the traits and the interactions, I just wish I could remove the gurus or make them into a different character.
i am sorry to hear that and i completely empathise with this... i will prioritise creating a fictionalised version of the political gurus aswell as separating the mod into modules.
Cool mod, can't wait to see more! Adding on to the the ind/apolitical comment - maybe " troll teh forums" could give a slightly dazed buff, it could be harder to gain political influence, nervous/fine/paranoid baseline buff of "I'm just not into politics", easiest sim to pull into any "party" during the census, watching the news could increases paranoia for a little while but they're mostly "fine", if Ind/Apo and famous then can be accused of being a grifter ? Haven't tried this out on an occult sim yet but maybe Occult sims could be automatically assigned to an InDifferent "party" - politics of mortals don't change the lives of these sims until they opt in /or each occult has their own council /or all occults answer to a grand council ? Don't know if you're interested in mixing compatibilities with other mods at the moment as addons/features but I couldn't help but think there were a few existing mods this could go well with - xosdr's Road to Wealth (thoughts/ideologies around wealth/classes), Lumpinous mods (thoughts/ideologies around religion, sex, relationships/marriage, pregnancy, identity, law/order), Kiara's mod celebrity system (for cancel culture), basemental's mods (thoughts/ideologies around drugs, gambling, and gangs), sacrificial - (thoughts/ideologies around violence, sex work, fame), adeepindigo's mods (thoughts/ideologies around healthcare, divergent, transportation, therapy, delinquents), and frankk's language barriers (thoughts/bigotries around languages) If integrating NAPs in the future maybe an addon/integration with kuttoe (thoughts around the added civic policies) Also haven't played so far ahead with the mod to see if a baby spawns with a political ideology but if not already a part of the mod or a plan for the future - I'd love it if watching the news channel as a kid or teen would prompt the assignment [maybe cause friction in the sim house with its randomness or depend on traits] and/or upon age-up to YA
Omg thank you!! I love how much thought you’ve put into this, seriously, so many cool ideas here. With occult Sims, I’ve actually got it set so they have a higher chance of being Libertarian, felt right since most supernatural Sims probably don’t love the idea of mortal government control 😂 But I love the idea of starting them as indifferent until they opt in, or giving them their own councils or secret occult politics 👀 Definitely something I want to explore more. As for compatibility with other modders.. yesss, You totally nailed it l Lumpinou, Kiara, Basemental, adeepindigo, frankk, etc. There's so much room for synergy there! That said, I’d need to reach out to those modders to ask permission before creating any proper add-ons or integrations, so it’s definitely something I want to ease into over time. Right now, only teens and up get political traits automatically, but I really like the idea of having a discovery process instead and then separately incorporating political family and relationship dynamics. Could be a great way to add more storytelling and chaos 👀 Really appreciate you taking the time to share all these thoughts. Seriously so helpful and inspiring. Feel free to keep em coming!
Can you add an independent/apolitical trait for Sims that don't fit into any category?
