The Dog Park Update 8.31
Happy Monday everyone and happy "Ber-months" eve! I don't know about you, but I'm ready for fall. This summer really had me in survival mode. I felt like I lost so much of my creative spark and that really impacted my desire to want to show up. I think I'm starting to come out of it as I'm figuring out a work schedule and setting some boundaries. The problem with working for yourself is that it's really easy to work until 9 at night. On top of that, my reading has slowed down so much and I really miss it.
Sprints & Events:
Sprints for all tiers happening probably Wednesday. Leandra and I are going to do crafty sprints again, but not sure if it's going to be this week or next.
The Fall Reading Retreat is going to be this weekend for Paws and Prose and the Fictional Floofers! More info to come, but it'll be Saturday and Sunday and I have a bingo board with reading prompts and activities for the weekend! We will also have sprints!
Life Stuff:
Not too much happening on this front. For once, the dogs are all doing great and we don't have anyone recovering from an emergency vet visit (knock on all the wood here. The last one wiped out my emergency vet fund). In September, Derek and I are going to Detroit for the home opener Lions game. He's really excited to take me there because he grew up in Detroit and keeps adding things we should do while we're there (despite not having a car while we're there). We're definitely going to be trying Buddy's pizza!
Upcoming Content:
My TBR just went live yesterday. I'm still working on game pieces for my game, so I just focused on the Readathon Rebellion for this month.
Videos upcoming will be a July/August wrap up and I'm going to do a Football Romances recommendations video to go up next week when the new season begins!
Currently Reading:
I just finished up my reread of Spark of the Everflame and I'm moving on to Glow. I don't intend on reading Burn until the end of the month, so it's okay that I'm a bit behind on the reread schedule!
My first read for Readathon Rebellion will be Strength by Amy Daws.
Are you ready for fall or are you clinging to the last moments of summer?
