The Dog Park Weekly Update 11.17

Hey I remembered this on a Monday!

it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas over here! I am firmly in the camp that I put up my Christmas decorations mid November. The world is a dumpster fire... give me my twinkly lights! We put up the living room Christmas tree yesterday while watching football. I was able to get a new Christmas tree this year, because our new one was a little sad and old and Michaels was doing a huge sale last week! But this one is much bigger so I might have to go get some more tree decorations after I figure out what I have left from decorating the office. The plan is to decorate the office tomorrow! I'll be doing a vlog for that one for the beginning of Vlogmas where I read Good Spirits by B.K. Borrison and make my office into a winter wonderland!

Sprints & Events:
Sprints probably tomorrow! I wanted to do them today, but Derek is working from home and has calls all day, so he needed the office, meaning I don't really have a spot for sprints. So y'all can have a sneak peek into my decorating, I'll sprint while decorating! Probably starting around 10am MST

The cozy reading retreat for Paws & Prose and Fictional Floofers is going to be this weekend! It will be Friday and Saturday. More information to come, but basically, its just some time to be cozy as it gets cold outside. I'll do sprints for it as well.

Upcoming Content:
I apologize for not having early access to my goodreads snubs content. I went to go edit it and there is a constant ringing in the audio I couldn't get rid of, so I had to refilm it this morning and it needs to go out today. But I'll be pre-filming some stuff for Vlogmas over the next two weeks, so you'll have lots of early access coming! (Early access is available to Barks & Books and higher)

So my Goodreads snubs video will go up today once I finish editing the re-film. My next few videos will be my December TBR, an episode of Should I stamp it (I have one more book to read for that) and I'll be doing a series audit where I'm talking about series that I haven't touched in a year or more, and if those series should still be on my list.

For Vlogmas, my plan is videos every other day through Christmas! Some of them will be vlogs, and some of them are going to be kickstarting my end of year content. These are always my favorite videos to film (and to watch) so I'm so excited for them!

Currently Reading:
I am currently reading Mate by Ali Hazelwood (I know... shocking. I said I wouldn't continue this series). I don't hate it, but it's just so... mid. It's definitely a sequel and there's a lot of worldbuilding that continued from Bride, so I do agree, it should be in the Romantasy category. I also really appreciate the commentary of women's health in this but through the lens of her being a werewolf. It's an interesting parallel. I thought about DNFing, but I only have a couple hours left so I'll probably try to finish it today.

Next up is Katabasis by R.F. Kuang because I need to finish up my Should I Stamp It. It's the only one left that I was trying to finish it before Goodreads choice came out and it didn't happen. And then of course Good Spirits tomorrow while I'm decorating. But that should only take me a few hours.

Are you a traditionalist who puts up Christmas decorations after thanksgiving, or do you put it up as early as possible?
