SGR Pro Drag Timer Lite
Drag Timer Lite
This is my attempt at building the most accurate and useful drag timer I could make for BeamNG.
I put a lot of testing into this timer. I even built a data logger into my test version so I could log pass after pass, then made a separate test mod that forced the same car to run the same pass repeatedly. That let me remove myself from the testing as much as possible.
Across almost 1,000 logged passes with a slow, consistent test car, the total variation between the slowest and fastest pass was roughly four hundredths of a second, with most passes falling inside about a two hundredths spread.
Timing was calibrated against BeamNG's in-game map-based drag timers and should run nearly identical. The in-game timer can vary depending on how deep you stage, so some tiny differences are expected.
I also tested at different FPS levels, and the timer itself stayed accurate even down around 15 FPS or lower. At very low FPS, the car itself may slow down because of the game engine, but the timer logic stayed consistent.
Customization
Drag Timer Lite includes a variety of preset color backgrounds along with a custom RGB background option, letting you match the timer to your car, UI, stream, or whatever style you're going for.
Settings
The settings menu includes:
Backgrounds
Choose from preset color backgrounds or create your own using custom RGB values.
Text Color
Pick from common text colors or use custom RGB values to create your own.
Hide Labels
Hides the large center timer labels and switches to smaller labels above the time numbers, creating a cleaner layout and giving the background more room.
Status Line
Choose how the Ready/Recording status indicator displays:
Full border
Top line
Bottom line
None
Timer Type
Choose the timer layout depending on what kind of racing you're doing:
1/4 Mile
1/4 Complex
1/8 Mile
1/8 Complex
1/2 Mile
1 Mile
Opacity
Adjust the UI opacity so the timer can either stand out or blend more naturally with the rest of your screen.
Right Column Mode
Switch the right-side column between Best Pass and Last Pass.
Last Pass is especially useful for bracket racing, tuning, or testing because it keeps your most recently completed run visible for comparison.
Extra Details
The timer also has a few anti-cheat features and Easter eggs hidden throughout it.
Beta testing has been solid so far. I haven't had reports of glitch passes, including during low-FPS testing.
This has been a long project, but the goal was simple: make a drag timer that feels accurate, useful, clean, and customizable enough that you actually want to keep it on screen.

Any plans to update the Sled Pull Distance Gauge? The .39 update killed it unfortunately.
Actually I have a hotfix I'll throw it up tomorrow
