I told you I’d end up needing therapy. Marital emotions, inter‑marital chaos, and now you casually throws Stevens into the mix. At this point I’m convinced the universe is running some sort of experiment to see how many plotlines one lady can survive before she starts talking to furniture. Ok, get a grip... You also noticed that she felt uneasy about it as probably other women around him have not in that situation. She felt uneasy, but did it anyway. Good woman. Hold on to your hat, Bea, and don't stand up. It always helps the therapy to have a cheerful couch in such situations. I am reminded of how, when Emma had sufficient resistance to say no, Emma got a phone call from Stevens telling her to please don't cross any boundaries. She thinks to herself he seemed unusually interested in her welfare. Right, he is interested if things work out right, has been for some time.
