Should we speed up the progression of the main storyline?

Before sharing your opinion, here are three important disclaimers:

1️⃣ Update 0.5 is already finished.
It’s currently in the final stage of testing and won’t be changed. Any adjustments or shifts in pacing can only be made in the next version — 0.55.

2️⃣ This poll is preliminary.
You’ll likely be able to give a more accurate opinion once you’ve played version 0.5. We’ll repeat this poll after the update is released to track any changes in perception as the story develops further.

3️⃣ Faster pacing ≠ breaking logic or tone.
I’m not going to rush things in a way that sacrifices consistency, character motivation, or atmosphere. However — I can include more story content in version 0.55, effectively bringing some key events closer.
In short: one less update between you and the “big stuff” many of you are probably waiting for.

How many updates are left before we reach major turning points?
To be honest — not too many, but also not as few as some might hope (and maybe not as many as others fear 😅).

We cannot sacrifice an excellent current work, a story that holds up and has a lifespan that is more than adequate (update) for an adventure built in a hurry.

The poll is now closed.

Are you planning to align the story path so all the major turning points happen around the same time? In the Justin route she has already got naked in a shower and made out with him - will you be slowing down this path unnaturally so the other paths can catch up?

The first situation where Emma will be clearly faced with a choice to cheat or not is strictly defined by the main storyline. Even if I'm asked to speed things up, it would only mean shifting more focus to the central plot at the expense of everything else. Justin is a secondary character. There are several possible developments for a romantic arc with him, but he adapts to the main story — not the other way around. And yes, while Justin is a prominent and important character, in Emma’s story he remains just a parallel branch — not the main path. Will he have his own endings? Yes, he will. So the question is not entirely accurate, because all developments with Justin depend on what stage the main story and Emma herself are at.

I kind of depends on what will be cut out, to move faster? Will there be more filler events? Getting to see the main story move on, is kind of intriguing.

We’ll simply add one more story block — additional events will be added on a residual basis for now.

I want a long, cohesive story, with years and years of progression, while maintaining the same quality as what I've seen so far. If they can maintain a monthly update schedule, I think that would be ideal, but since I'm not a programmer, I know how to control my anxiety... XD

Faster means something will be sacrificed. You are already putting versions out much faster than nearly anybody else, with better graphic quality, better character development, and better story. I hear that the most time consuming part of game development is graphic quality. No don't change a thing.

Not really, at least not in our case. Testing takes the most time. If I could code myself, things would be much easier — it's really hard to explain remotely what exactly I want to achieve in the end.
