Does a game with female protagonist need content for her husband?
We've already done some of the branches for Tyler (the protagonist's husband) anyway, but if it's not interesting to players, we'll postpone the development of this relationship to the very distant future. But until you've seen what we've done for him, we can fantasise with you about whether such content is even needed.

I don't think it "needs" husband content; However, that really depends on what you want the story to be about. If the husband is integral to what you want to tell, then yes, content about him is needed. I only said it isn't needed because there wasn't an "It depends" option.
