Refreshed Moodlet Panel: Options

Moodlet Style

Default: Modern

  • Modern: Uses the mod’s custom look with flat mood-colored tiles, soft halos on stronger moodlets, mood-tinted fan slivers, and a styled overflow panel.

  • Original: Restores the base game’s tiles, effects, and icons while keeping the mod’s grouping and panel behavior.

Moodlet Slots

Default: 4

  • Hidden: Hides the entire moodlet strip, including the overflow indicator and panel. Double-click the empty space where the strip normally appears to reopen the options dialog.

  • Current Mood Only: Uses the base game setting and displays only moodlets matching your Sim’s current mood.

  • 4, 5, 6, or 7: Sets how many moodlet slots appear in the strip. Higher values use smaller tiles.

Keep Moodlet Panel Extended

Default: Never

  • Never: Uses the base game’s behavior. Click the overflow indicator to open the panel. It stays open when moodlets change, but closes when you click elsewhere, open a dialog, or switch Sims.

  • Always: Automatically opens the panel whenever there is overflow and keeps it extended through clicks, Sim switches, dialogs, and moodlet updates.

  • When Awake: Keeps the panel extended while your Sim is awake. It folds away while they are sleeping, dazed, or recharging, then expands again when they wake up.

Group Moodlets by Mood

Default: On

  • On: When six or more moodlets are present, moodlets sharing the same mood stack behind a single tile with a count, helping keep the row readable.

  • Off: Displays one tile per moodlet, like the base game. Any additional moodlets move into the overflow panel.

Expand Groups

Default: Above the Row
Only shown when grouping is enabled.

  • Above the Row: Click a stack to display its moodlets on a separate row above the main strip.

  • In the Row: Click a stack to expand it in place while the rest of the row shifts aside. It collapses when you click any tile in the group, switch Sims, open a dialog, or moodlets update.

Tint Icons by Mood

Default: On

  • On: Moodlet icons inherit the color of their associated mood.

  • Off: Uses the base game’s grey and blue icon colors while leaving custom moodlet icons unchanged.
