this is salon gameplay for your Sims to GO to the salon. This is not a salon career mod. Your Sim does not apply for a stylist job or work a shift as an employee in this version. You can build your own salon, set the lot up, control the business hours, and send your Sims there to actually receive services from working Salon Stylists. Career/employee gameplay is something I may look at later, but I did not want to hold this version hostage trying to turn it into something it isn't yet.

What is in V1 Beta

• Build or place your salon and add the Beauty Salon / Barbershop lot trait

• Place the All-in-One Styling Stations from Get Famous

• Salon Stylists automatically come in based on the number of styling stations on the lot, with support for up to 8 stylists

• Stylists claim their own stations instead of everybody piling onto one chair

• Default business hours are already set, or you can make your own

• Set today's hours

• Set a weekly business schedule

• Use quick hour presets or choose your own times in 5-minute increments

• Overnight hours are supported, so something like 8:00 PM–2:00 AM works

• Set the salon to Open 24 Hours

• Close the salon for the entire day

• Manually Open Salon Now or Close Salon Now

• Refresh the staff if you add another station or somebody is missing

• Today at the Salon gives you a quick look at hours, stations, stylists on duty, closing time, and current business status

• The salon automatically keeps staffing itself while it is open and sends workers home when it closes

• You will get a warning when the salon is getting close to closing time

• Salon Services currently include Basic Cut / Trim, Wash + Style, Silk Press / Styled Look, Color Service, Protective Style, Hair + Makeup, and Premium Transformation (STORYTELLING PURPOSES ONLY)

• You choose your service first and then choose one of the Salon Stylists currently working

• Services cost Simoleons and you receive a Salon Service Receipt after booking

• If the salon is closed, services are blocked

How to use it in your game

Set up a salon lot, add the Beauty Salon / Barbershop lot trait, and place however many styling stations you want to use. If you place five stations, the salon can staff five stylists. If you place two, it can staff two. You do not need to already know the stylists for them to appear in the service picker.

Once your salon is open, take the Sim who actually wants their hair done to the salon. Use the phone to open Salon Services, choose what they are getting, choose a stylist who is currently on duty, pay for the service, and let the REST take over from there.

You will also see Salon Owner Controls on the phone. That menu is there to manage how the salon lot operates: opening and closing it, setting hours, checking today's status, refreshing staff, and viewing the weekly schedule. Again, that does not mean your Sim has joined a salon career. Think of it as control over the salon setup itself for now.

This is a V1 Beta, so I want people actually playing with it before I start throwing another fifty systems on top. I already have ideas for employee gameplay, stylist levels, commissions, walk-ins, client satisfaction, reviews, tips, appointments, business history, and other salon systems. Those can come after I see how this first public version behaves across everybody for now.

Please report actual bugs with details about what you were doing, what time the salon was supposed to be open, how many stations you had placed, and what happened in-game. If it is working, I also want to hear what you want the salon system to do next.
