Ship DA Kids Off V1 is officially available now!

This mod allows your Sims to send their Infants, Toddlers, Children and Teens to stay with another household for a night, weekend, school break, family visit, emergency stay and more.

They are temporarily moved into the household you selected, and you can actually switch over and play their stay from the host’s side.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

You can:

• Send one child or multiple children together

• Choose a trusted adult your Sim already knows

• Select the reason for the stay

• Choose how long the kids will be gone

• Add care money for the host

• Create shared care instructions

• Add separate instructions for each child

• Bring everyone home early

• Choose which child comes home

• Extend or shorten the stay

• Check on the kids while they are away

• Call or text the host

• Call the child

• Send additional care money

• View active stays

• Review completed stays

• Use recovery tools if something does not look right

INDIVIDUAL CARE PLANS

When sending multiple children, each child can have their own instructions based on their age.

Infants

• Bottle or milk instructions

• Feeding schedule

• Diaper routine

• Bedtime routine

• Comfort item

• Extra attention needed

Toddlers

• Potty-training reminders

• Nap schedule

• Picky-eater instructions

• Bedtime story

• No sugary snacks

• Bring favorite toy

Children

• Finish homework

• Practice a skill

• Follow bedtime

• Screen-time limit

• Call home before bed

• School pickup instructions

Teens

• Curfew

• Permission to go out

• Must attend school

• No parties

• Babysit younger siblings

• Check in by phone

When only one child is selected, the mod keeps the setup simple and does not make you create two separate care plans for the same child.

HOST RESPONSES

The selected host may:

• Happily accept

• Request care money

• Ask for a shorter stay

• Agree to take only some of the children

• Decline because they are busy

• Decline because the relationship is not close enough

• Make an exception during an emergency

Players who do not want random host decisions can change the setting and choose every response themselves.

WHILE THE KIDS ARE AWAY

The original household can:

• Ask about the child

• Text the host

• Call the host

• Call the child

• Update care instructions

• Send more money

• Change pickup time

• Bring the kids home early

• Read messages and updates

The host household can:

• Check on the visiting children

• Send positive updates

• Report behavior problems

• Request supplies

• Request more care money

• Ask the parent to call

• Request an earlier pickup

• Offer to keep the kids longer

• Return one child early

• End the stay

The selected host receives the full host controls. Other members of the host household can view the stay and check on the children, but they cannot make official decisions for the visit.

BEHAVIOR AND CHECK-INS

The children can have different experiences while they are away.

Updates may include:

• Well-behaved children

• Homesickness

• Tantrums

• Attitude or backtalk

• Bedtime problems

• Homework resistance

• Screen-time arguments

• Picky eating

• Potty accidents

• Sibling conflict

• Curfew problems

• Missed school responsibilities

• Helpful behavior

• Positive bonding

• Great family visits

The care instructions you selected are connected to these updates, so the host may tell you which rules were followed and which ones need attention.

MESSAGES & UPDATES

Each active stay has its own message inbox.

Messages can include:

• Behavior concerns

• Call-home requests

• Money requests

• Supply requests

• Pickup changes

• Regular updates

• Replies from the original household

The inbox keeps the newest messages without allowing an important unanswered request to be silently replaced.

CURRENT STAYS

Use Current Stays to manage every visit already in progress.

This is where you can access:

• Stay details

• Messages and updates

• Calls and texts

• Care instructions

• Care money

• Pickup changes

• Check-ins

• Early return options

• Recovery tools

Completed visits are moved into Past Stays, where you can review the host, reason, length, money sent and final visit outcome.

HOW TO USE THE MOD

1. Click an eligible adult Sim in the original household.

2. Open Ship DA Kids Off.

3. Select Plan a New Stay.

4. Choose the children going.

5. Choose a trusted adult host.

6. Select the reason.

7. Add care instructions.

8. Choose optional care money.

9. Select the stay length.

10. Review the host’s response.

11. Confirm the stay.

The selected children will move into the host household until they are returned home.

INSTALLATION

You need both core files:

JayESimsxJayeHinson_ShipDAKidsOff_V1.package JayESimsxJayeHinson_ShipDAKidsOff_V1.ts4script

Place them inside your JayESims folder:

Make sure:

• Script Mods are enabled in Game Options

• The TS4Script is no more than one folder deep

• Every older Ship DA Kids Off file is deleted

• Files from different versions are not mixed

• localthumbcache.package is deleted before restarting the game

OPTIONAL PHONE-MENU ADD-ON

The phone-menu shortcut is optional.

It requires XML Injector and should only be installed by players who already have XML Injector in their Mods folder.

The core mod works without the phone add-on. You can still access everything by clicking your Sim.

IMPORTANT

Please test the mod in a copied save first, especially if you use other mods that temporarily move Sims between households.
