Alright y’all… we already know what this one is.

The Sims team is dropping that Marketplace update today.

I’m not even gonna sugarcoat it. I know this change doesn’t feel good for us as players and mod users. But I need y’all to remember something real quick:

WE make this game what it is.
The community does.
Creators do.
And especially over here at JayESims. We keep gameplay alive.

Everything I do is built around that.
Free mods. Mod Haus Payless Market. Even early access becomes free. Always.

UPDATE DAY RULES (READ THIS)

If you play with mods, do this every time there’s an update:

• Turn OFF automatic game updates (if you haven’t already)
• Do NOT open your main save right away
• Remove your Mods folder before launching after update
• Wait for mod confirmations before putting anything back in
• Test your game with a fresh save first
• Back up your saves!! (please don’t skip this)

FULL TRANSPARENCY

I’ve already started looking into things with the modder files they gave us access to yesterday.

After going through what I could, I’m a little more at ease than I expected. From what I’m seeing right now, I don’t anticipate major issues with my mods specifically.

BUT… this is still a big update.

Things can always shift once it goes live.
So we’re not assuming anything, we’re testing.

I’ll be running tests on everything and I’ll circle back later with real updates once I’ve had time to go through it properly.

Until then, just move smart with your game.
