Family… this one is close to my heart.

Today, I’m releasing a new chapter in the Diagnosed — The Chapters series, and this time we’re talking about Vitiligo.
Not as a “feature.”
Not as a buzzword.
But as a lived experience.

This mod is about what it means to have your body change in visible ways and how the world responds before you even say a word.

Vitiligo isn’t just about skin losing pigment.
It’s about identity, confidence, being seen, and sometimes… being stared at.
It’s about learning how to exist comfortably in a body people feel entitled to question.

Through this mod, Sims can:

• Explain what vitiligo is on their terms

• Talk about trying to hide it, and why they stopped

• Express gratitude for being treated normally

• Share how representation changed them

• Learn to love their skin in every shade

And sometimes… just exist without commentary.

Why This Chapter Matters

Let’s be real, representation in The Sims has always lagged behind real life.

This series was never about “collecting conditions.”
It’s about honoring real stories.

So far, we’ve tackled:

• Congestive Heart Failure

• ADHD

• Asthma

• Seasonal Depression

• Fibromyalgia

• And now… Vitiligo

Each chapter exists because someone out there needs to see themselves reflected without judgment, pity, or spectacle.

This one is especially personal to me.
It’s about visibility without explanation.
Acceptance without interrogation.
Kindness that doesn’t require curiosity.

Storytelling With Purpose

I believe Sims should feel human.
Messy. Soft. Strong. Unlearning. Healing.

Not every story is loud. Some are whispered. Some are simply lived.

And yes… this chapter is gentle.
But it’s also powerful.

Because sometimes the bravest thing a Sim can say is:

“You didn’t stare. You didn’t ask. You just saw me.”
