Regarding The State OF JayESims

i’m sure the news i posted yesterday brought mixed emotions, and the video i shared earlier (that’s now making its rounds pretty fast on social media) probably added even more to that. i hear you, and i see you. and i truly appreciate the encouragement you’ve been sending. thank you.
i also want y’all to talk to me in the comments. like, really talk to me.
because at the end of the day… i’m a small creator, and most importantly i’m a brand but i’m also human, just like all of us. i’m beyond blessed to do what i love, but when people steal my work or look for loopholes to get around supporting creators, it takes from a creator’s livelihood at a certain point.
and i’ve never been in this for material things — y’all know that. but i also have to be honest: a business is a business. i want to keep growing with you, i truly do, but you have to help me help you.
i’ve given out 50+ free memberships, year passes, giveaways, and so much more because i hear you and i understand how hard the world is right now. but please remember… i’m living in that same world too. and motivation starts to disappear when people come and go just to grab the work, then throw it all across the internet.
and i need to say this too: the gap that was missing for years in the Sims 4 community. the type of storytelling, representation, and gameplay depth y’all always said you wanted, will stay a gap if what’s happening to me (and other creators) keeps happening. i don’t want that. i want us to keep building something special. but i can’t do it alone.
so tell me: how can i help you… in a way that also protects the work? i’m listening.
i understand that with popularity comes crazy challenges, i really do. but baby, i’m gonna be real… sometimes i’d rather have all my content sitting on my hard drive in peace than deal with all this noise. truly. because it’s draining.
and please remember this: all leaked work STILL has to be updated at some point. mods break. patches happen. things need fixing. and if i’m gone, until somebody picks up the slack or tries to imitate what i do (and let’s be clear… they can try, but they can’t do it like me because i’m THEEEEE JAYE 🤍) you’ll be left with broken mods and even more frustration.
i’m very intentional with what i make, and i love y’all deeply.
so i’m asking from a real place:

I’m also not new to the reality of the internet. I understand that leaking, bootlegging, and repost culture has existed for decades… literally since before I was even born.

I'm so sorry that there are people who refuse to respect you and the other creators. I try to support them when I can, but I can't always afford it. However, I dont agree with anyone reposting your work or sharing it in ways they shouldn't. Please don't let those who don't respect you make you lose heart. I hope you have all the best this year and the next no matter what you choose to do. But I truly hope you stay around!
Jaye, I need to talk to you as if you are my little cousin. so that you can understand truly where I'm coming from. Your personality is abundant! Your love for what you create is 1000%. Your Heart is amazing! And the empathy you have for others is apparent! You share your life, stories, wants and needs with us. And unfortunately, there are people who are jealous of your creativity! People who want what God has blessed you with and even then, you choose to share it others. I care about your wellbeing before I care about the mods. why? because during one of your live that I was able to attend I saw and heard how much you enjoyed hearing from all that attended. how much fun you had when we asked you to stay longer. (2 hours longer) Seeing in your face, that you saw and read our appreciation for you and your creativeness. I will say this little cousin, I don't want you to go, I really enjoy your mods, but your Peace of Mind, Your Wellbeing, and your Passion to create means so much more. One thing that I truly love about your mods is the autonomous conversations. I can actually sit back and watch my sims just vibe and talk without having to control them. I feel like your a very reasonable creator that goes above and beyond for all of us and I understand your work being shared on other platforms is disheartening and disgusting. As a fan of your work, whatever decision you choose as far as leaving or staying, I will say that your one of the best modders to ever do it and much blessings to you and your future endeavors. omg i totally understand the struggle and really hope there is something we can do to help support esp given the mental toll, currently between jobs bc of health reasons and i really hope the rest of the community is able to pull through in the financial department bc i really want to be able to pay for memberships one day soon and hope you’re still around for that 😭😭 (idk if that’s weird to say but it just sucks standing by not being able to do much in the moment but your work is so special and this economical phase is rough ugh) do what’s best for you and if you come back after a break we will be here!! many creators do that too!!
I'm so sorry that people cannot respect your work, time, energy, patience, and kindness. You go above and beyond to make mods for EVERYONE - you even went out of your way to make a 'mods for free' program. I use your mods every single time I play and allow an entirely immersive, storytelling experience that I appreciate more than I could ever say. People are wildly entitled and believe they should have access to whatever they want, whenever they want it, and that just doesn't work with this platform. You either have the money or the time. I'm fortunate enough to have the money to pay for your mods and get access to them immediately, but there are some creators that are too expensive for me. And that's okay! For those creators, I wait until their early access period is over to use them. Creators deserve to make their own terms for their work, and they deserve to be PAID for their work. I'll always subscribe to your Patreon. I'm not in any sort of groups outside of Patreon so I don't have an answer as to how to resolve the leaks, but I'm happy to do anything needed. Thank you again.
I am so sorry that this is happening to you. Creators that stay within or near the window absolutely deserve to have their work and intelectual and creative property protected. I love the work you make and your mods arent like anyone elses, especially for minority comminities and diffictult dynamic situatuins and relationships. You are one of kind and I hope you will contiue to do your amazing work, but even if you are disheartened and I understand why you are, you must put your mental health first. Perhaps there is some way we can help you with your work or help you to feel secure in your work again?
i never mind paying for your mods, they are a huge game changer adding so many new, refreshing, and creative interactions in my game. You've really made my game into something extremely beautiful. Sims aside, getting a peak of you as a person and your personality on social media has been really fun! You're so kind, thoughtful, and funny! An all around great person, I truly do appreciate you and your hard work!
I'm New here I was referred to you by Deesims and a few other modders and my game just started getting on point id really hate to see you go where loosing a lot of amazing modders and I know life happens so please please at least check in for a chat even if you decided not to mod keep this as a blog we need updates asap

My game always felt lacking before I found your mods but now it feels Like there is always a new story I can spin with them. The first mod I found from you was the Love and marriage mod your mods Make my game feel like there is more depth to the relationships now.
I started subscribing after your PCOS mod came out and all the stories/mods you’ve done are just so amazing. I lost my mom to addiction in 2022 and the addiction mods you have really bridge a gap. In addition, the people pleaser and the overstimulated ones are very relevant as I’m a chronic people pleaser and neurodivergent. Sometimes it’s hard to see myself in games and basically all media but your mods give me that back. I feel more included and safe. I think I have over 60+ of your mods in my game currently. I only subscribe to 3 people for my mods and you’re the primary person I stay subscribed to because I just adore your work, truly. I honestly think people are beyond impatient and entitled, sadly. It’s not like you even permanently paywall or anything, it’s very sad people can’t even wait a couple weeks and instead need to steal it. So, I’m not sure how you or others would feel about this but some creators do have this code in their mod that basically tracks who downloaded it and how it gets shared to track down who’s sharing the content and ban them. I’m not really sure the specifics but just wanted to throw the idea out there. Your work, your passion, your empathy, your creativity and YOU are irreplaceable. I totally understand why creators stop creating. It’s really hard especially with the sims community. It would be such a loss but you need to feel respected for your work. I just hope you know those that support your legitimately truly appreciate your work. I know that doesn’t change anything but please know we do care and support you. You are one of a kind 💗 at the very least maybe you can take some time off and fully think about things and take some time for yourself? You deserve it honestly 🫶
I love this message. I literally waited weeks to download a mod even though I wanted it since I didn't have the money because supporting creators is important. Its a Job at this point with he amount of effort and hours. The passion Jaye Brings is unmatched in this community

It's sad that people can't wait 3 weeks or just show support for the creator whose mods they clearly enjoy. I can't fix the problem, but I truly hope this doesn't run you off completely because it would be a true loss to the community. We need you to stay tell us what we need to do to help out more You are the only creator I have seen beside a handful of others who care and truly love your supporters rather they are paid member or free members you treat everybody the same. Your mods honestly do bridge a gap that the sims team is probably never going to fill because when it comes to representation, whether that be in the black and brown community in general, or with certain topics like the co-parent mods you’ve created. I love your mods and I’d sing your praises to anyone that would listen because I feel like you’re a creator that really cares about your work, and it’s shows in the content you put out. I hope that you stay, I wish I had solutions to the issues you’re facing but I hope that you find one that results in you continuing to make mods for the community, because those of us that truly appreciate the work you do and support you are gonna miss you if you go. Hey I just wanted to say I have about a few mods that have made me really smile. I like the co-parent mod. And the step mom mod. My favorite mod I would say is sneaky link. Lmfaoo those 3 mods alone help me by through soo much time. I go through life problems a lot and your mods keep me busy. I hope you keep going. You inspire many.
