Our first chapter began with Congestive Heart Failure. A drop that meant so much to so many of you and ME.

PTSD — Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
This drop was emotional to create, but it needed to exist.
Because PTSD is real.
Because so many Sims players live with it, love someone who has it, or have survived things they still don’t have the words for.
Because storytelling deserves space for the battles we don’t see.
PTSD is not “just anxiety.”
It’s the sound, the smell, the phrase, the memory, the moment you didn’t choose…
coming back before you’re ready.
It’s hyperawareness, fear responses, numbness, exhaustion, and trying your best even when your body is stuck in old pain.
Creating this trait was about representation.
About truth.
About giving players a tool to tell stories with nuance, compassion, and depth.

I struggle everyday with, PTSD. Especially after My mom remained with her back then boyfriend, now deceased husband. Even after he made the excuse that he thought it was My mom in their bed at the time. Even explained how, The reason he thought it was her, is because she sometimes comes home from work early. And at 28, I finally got a court order to get closure and when it was my court day, My mom called and said he passed away. To where I just answered with just a "Ok" Even though I was filled with so many emotions that day
Thank you for creating this. As someone who struggles with Bipolar disorder, ptsd, anxiety, and depression, this is greatly appreciated.
I can really relate to this so much I lost my mom last year to suicide I will never be the same 😭thanks again I love all your mods 🫶🏼

This is genuinely really cool, it gives the game more depth with real shit simmers go through and some people I'm really sure will play their hearts out with these mods, it'll definitely be a little therapy too as family members and diagnosed people themselves can struggle severely with these diagnoses'. I would love to put some of the things I struggle with on the table: OCD, Bipolar disorder, POTS, generalized anxiety would also be nice as well as Elhors-Danlos Syndrome.
I feel so seen for this thank you <3 if you're open to suggestions for other diagnoses I would like to suggest OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder), Type 1 Diabetes, and Sickle Cell Anemia for your consideration. Thank you for putting the effort into such impactful gameplay mods!
gah thank you, i've had another much older PTSD trait for a while but it's super unbalanced and ends up feeling unnatural so this is really nice to have now
