ARCANE: Season 2 Ep. 4 - 'Paint the Town Blue'

Paint the Town Blue is easily one of my favourite songs from s2, I actually don't think the show does the song as much justice. On the soundtrack, it hits much harder. I put it into the recommended reaction list, there's a live performance of that song at worlds that is genuinely incredible. Also I think it makes sense for Jinx to stay, because she doesn't know Warwick is drawn to blood. Her reasoning is that she would distract the creature and they would get away. Also, she's found some peace with Isha, some healing and a part of her is still scared of "jinxing it". I think a part of her there would have preferred to die a martyr and a hero getting them out, then surviving and potentially being the reason they die. Warwick is one of the OG league of legends characters that all us league of legends fan had an idea was coming in early s1 from some hints in some character dialogues (can't say them because they're still currently spoilers for what's to come). He has a passive called scent of blood in the game where if someone is low on health he runs faster towards them. Also fun fact, a Jinx will almost never win a fight against a warwick 1v1 in the game xD

From the game you can easily know who Warwick is, iconic character, but the important thing here is that this was someone who knew Powder, not Jinx, Powder. You can see when Warwick is looking at Jinx, his heart is going crazy, and his eyes go from red to blue and yellow, then he speaks, you heard this voice before, but you will find out in the next chapter. His face has similar recognizable features, but it is not immediately obvious. Also, Jinx fought for several reasons, the kid was there and she needed to buy them time to scape, all escaping would be Warwick hunting them all easy, he is clearly faster than them. Secondly, she was just displayed trust and love from a community which sees her as a hero, and she placed herself in that role. And ultimately cause there is only one way out of that corridor, one way in, one way out. They were in the corridor with the beast in the middle, she had to distract Warwick. I'm glad we're making it to these episodes, this is the first time I watched this as well, but I know who Warwick is cause I play the game. Anyways, I can't wait for the next one! Lupe.-

I will say, this is where those of us totally unfamiliar with the game got a hell of a plot twist. Very much a ‘I did NOT see that coming’. I don’t know whether I should clarify who it is or not (it will be made clear next episode) but it’s a doozy. And as for next episode, to quote a friend of mine, ‘Ok, but when are we going to talk about Dark Vi?’

Yay Arcane Sunday! Thanks for the well wishes Tim :) I figured it was just a matter of time before AI took my job and I was right. Still trying to figure out what I want to do next. I think this was the caption that most people were worried about -- game players will know who Warwick is from the name. Show-watchers at this point do NOT know who Warwick is. The important part of that scene is that this wolf man KNOWS Powder. I think the reason she fought the beast was because they were kind of trapped in the prison still. I don't think there was a clear way OUT. But yeah these are the kinds of things where Season 2 can be a little hard to follow. :) Good episode! Excited for next week.
