She strummed the acrylic fingernails on one hand with the other - like a washboard.
wasn't her biggest fan, but her impact not only on music but on every thing she touched is inspiring, can't believe she is gone from this world
Loved the thoughts about Dolly you shared at the end ❤️ Dolly’s I Will Always Love You is so special to me, as is Here You Come Again which I remember as the first song I heard of her’s as a kid
Dolly's version of I Will Always Love You feels like it's reassuring all her fans that she will always love us, just like we will always love her
Dolly came up with the beat of 9 to 5, using her acrylic nails
The version of Wrecking Ball that she did with Miley Cyrus is also incredible! She wrote over 3000 songs! 50 studio albums and 11 Grammys
Thanks for doing this!
I got to visit the The Country Music Hall of Fame Museum years ago. One of the coolest things I saw was the lyrics for “Joleen” written in her big looping handwriting on regular unlined notebook paper. I also got excited about the display for the show “Hee Haw.” lol. Dolly performed a couple of songs on that show in the 70’s.
Whitney's version of I will always love you is iconic, but Dolly's version will always be my favorite. The song is such a deeply personal moment for her and it's amazing that we get to share that with her.
Such a fantastic singer and a wonderful, wonderful human being we just lost ❤️ 💔
