Arcane Season 2 Episode 1 Reaction

So excited we’re starting season 2!! This episode was so insane. The way it ends with them standing there together with the hex tech weapons is so badass! Can’t wait for the rest of the season!

It's been a while (I think August 6 or 8) since I watched something on this channel, there hasn't been anything appealing to me. I hope there's a change somewhere. Anyways, this chapter, I loved it, I had watched season 1 a lot ago, and I rewatched it with you, but I had never watched season 2 so everything's new. I am loving all of it really, off the charts. The guy in the end is not Silco, Silco was way shorter, has a messed up left eye and didn't carry any green poison. That was Singed, Viktor's guide and the guy who wanted to save that Dragon-like creature that was dying.

So glad you're diving into season 2!! I agree with everybody who's been saying the songs in season 2 take it to the next level. The opening song in this first episode is one of my favorites. Love the new mobile studio!!

Season 2 is gonna have a lot more songs. Glad to have you back on this!

PEAK IS BACK! -As much as I enjoy s1's opening, s2's is my favorite by a mile: the characters look great and they're not represented as statues this time, plus, nothing is spoiled, yet their arc in the season is shown metaphorically by their action, what they're holding or the scene they're in. -"I Can't Hear It Now" is one of my favorite songs in s2, if not the whole show, probably top 5 or top 3, gives me chills every time. I can now also relate to Caitlyn, having lost my mom this past January. -Most of the Shimmer enhanced attackers during the memorial are actually the same as the ones Vi and Jayce killed in s1 ep8, only the big one is new. -Yeah, we weren't kidding when we said that they upped their game when it comes to songs! -No, that's not Silco, he's dead, don't worry. That's Singed, the scientist who invented Shimmer, and you'll see what he's up to later in the season! I'm so excited to look forward to Sundays again!

Ah I'm so happy we're continuing. I really, really love some of the experimental animation in season 2 and how they've combined it with music. They start right away, like this scene with Caitlin where the whole background appears to be done in charcoal/pencil and only the main characters are in 3d and in focus. The fight scene choreography remains unmatched. It's really interesting to compare this fight scene with the one from Season 1 in the shimmer factory. The enemies and many of the "heroes" are the same, those shimmer soldiers in the suits versus Vi and Jayce, but the mood is very different. Last time Jayce and Vi were kicking ass, totally confident. Now they are struggling to fight back, and they're a lot more aware of the innocent collateral damage. You can really see the characters' emotions played out in the combat. Beautifully done. I think we can see enough of his face at the end to recognize that is Singed (not Silco). We don't know what he's doing with those wolves though. I had forgotten how epic the end of this episode is, I've only watched Season 2 once before (I've seen season one at least 6 times 😂). It'll be really good rewatching with you! Can't wait for next week.

Did you notice that in keeping with the name/theme of the episode, Caitlyn's fingers give her a crown in the opening? I would LOVE for you to spend a bit of time on the opening next watch (and maybe in the future, too, because the opening has some frames/visuals that are different for EVERY episode)!

Yes, Silco is deader than a doornail. The person walking through the snow was Singed, the scientist that Viktor met when he was a boy. Singed was also the person who brought Jinx back to life. As for the green fluid used by Renni, I don’t know the name of it, but she needs it since she’s a chemically altered human.

That was the scientist at the end.

Studio looks great! Starlink is basically designed for your exact needs. Glad it works well.
