I really liked your analysis on Sparks, which happened to be my favorite song of her.
I always thought of Kiara as a flame. Not just because she's a Phoenix but also because of that bright and fiery energy she exudes in her music and dancing. Sometimes the fire is blazing and sometimes it's nice and warm. I remember back then when I ran a lot, I would pace up from a jog to a sprint everytime Sparks starts playing. Wawa is awesome! โจ๐ฅโจ
Stream SPARKS! One thing that wasn't mentioned, was that for whatever reason just as Kiara released SPARKS she got hit by a shadow ban from YouTube that buried the song, so for a while Kiara was promoting the song in every stream because YouTube's algorithm was burying it. The most interesting thing about Kiara, in my opinion, is the fact that she is a Phoenix in real life in a manner of speaking. She's very emotional and she wears her emotions on her sleeves. It takes almost nothing for her to break into tears of sadness or joy. Yet, she has this amazing inner resilience that no matter what life throws at her, she doesn't resist, she breaks, and then rises from the ashes and just keeps going anyway, even stronger than before. This is the trait that attracted me the most to become KFP. It also wasn't mentioned (or at least you didn't mention it) is that Kiara is one of the best dancers in Hololive and her songs often feature complex and interesting dance choreography. One other kind of dark humor part of KFP lore is that we are not just working at the restaurant, but we are also the food. Sooner or later we all wind up in the fryer. Just some food for thought. ๐
oh 46 likes on patreon KFP really showed up
We're a dedicated bunch
I look forward to seeing you get far enough into Hololive to check out some of the shuffle medleys where members mix up outfits and sing each other's songs. They're some fun and interesting videos.
mirage is still my personal fav, i hope a reaction to it in the future is in the cards
The Martyr/Murder staff might be a bit confusing. The song is martyr, the theme is martyr, but there is a lot of murder going on. "murder the martyr" for example. And the audience call is "murder" which is a pretty unique one to have the audience shout it your whole song. Thanks for the reaction, I think there is a bit more to Kiara than her Poppy side, but it still catches a big part of her. Songs like "Retrospective", "Great Wanderer", or "Pineapple" show a different side for example. Kiara is a great dancer and live performer, so her performances are nice to check out, like the serendipity free preview on youtube. And she is a J-Pop Idol lover by heart, so a lot of her 3d lives and karaokes and so on she sings more J-Pop idol like things.
I recommend the live version from the recent Serendipity live show, you can hear the MURDER! chants from the crowd during the "Murder! Murder! Murder! the Martyr" line. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-_cnE7PTDU&t=3056s
She's definetly worth a revist - there is a lot more variety of her work out there!
Hope you react to the free preview for both days of the serendipity concert sometime. Kiara killed it the first day in the free preview.

It would be years just to get through all of the good stuff hololive has to offer if they stopped making stuff today and you only did their stuff every week; you will never run out of content lol
Sparks is probably my all time favorite Hololive song
I'm sad that whoever put this together only had taste for her dance/Kpop vibes. She has put out a whole range of songs and they failed in their job to give you a better perspective on her range.
I wanted to get the great wanderer or retrospective in for the study but unfortunately they are not as popular lol , I still feel that the study on the whole was good. If you want to next time join us to make the song study on discord
Glad you checked out Kiara. I was honestly waiting for this. Kiara has spent the last 15+ years of her life working towards becoming an idol, and Hololive finally gave her the big stage she needed. Hard work alone isn't enough, you also need to get lucky. Kiara has talked about how, before Hololive, she once had to perform on a stage with 0 people in the audience... After many years of limited success, Kiara decided to move to Japan for 1 year in 2020 as a last ditch effort of achieving her dream. Unfortunately, she was mostly confined to her residence and unable to fulfill her purpose of coming to Japan because of the pandemic, which is when she started watching Hololive JP a lot, and later applied. Kiara is well known as a great dancer. She had her first solo live (actually duo live) earlier this year, spanning 2 days. I definitely recommend checking out some of the live performances like EGO or Martyr to get the vibe of a concert.
Kiara's original music (AKA Kiara-POP) offers so much variety I'd recommend : Fever Night, Sleep Talking, The Great Wanderer, Retrospective, and Signs Sleep Talking in particular stands out for its whistle register vocals
Every one of Kiara's songs is an earworm. Though I think "The Great Wanderer" is my favourite at the moment.
Technically, every pop song Kiara does is K-Pop! It's Kiara-Pop!
Welcome to KFP where our biggest buns are our boss's...
If you're gonna check out KIRA, 4blood is a must! Kiara's cover of it is basically the definitive version (and mixed by KIRA himself!) And if you want to listen to Sparks song sung recently, it's in the free part of Drawn to Dawn on her channel! (The duo concert with her genmate Ninomae Ina'nis, who also has a free part on her channel)
My kami-oshi got covered, let's GOOOOO
