Btw there is a bundle request for Kikuo songs if someone wants to help upvote it https://requests.timwelchmusic.com/r/b7488f98-0db8-4a0b-a5f3-e8c8b9bf4d3c
fun fact Kikuo and his song 'six greetings' is actually mentioned in Japanese high school textbook (with miku)!
Love love LOVE KikuoHana and it was such a treat seeing your first time reactions to these! I'm working on what songs i should put for the app but there's this composer Andy Akiho, he has a few songs that give off the same feel with Kikuo's production. I guess you can call it that almost Kabuki Theatre-esque feel to their pieces.
Kinda crazy how small Hanatan is despite having been an utaite for almost 20 years now. Started in 2008, one of the first generation. Had her 40th birthday earlier this year. To be fair her output over the years is spread all over the internet. Most of her best work isn't even on her own YT channel, but still... Marketing failures like that bum me out a bit.
Hanatan being one of the og Utaite did help paving the way for other artists, she was just so early when the scene was so small in comparison. I always wonder how big Hanatan could have been if she started out just 10 years later
