'BOOM' - Evil (Official Video) Vocal Analysis
SOOO INTERESTING!! She uses more vocal textures than Neuro-sama does!

Really impressive reaction, thanks for that. I like your analysis of the vocal layers. You need to check out the cover Monii did. She was working on "Life, Boom, and Never" and did a cover of all three of them, really impressive.
As for the virtual concert stuff, it is something that does happen but more in the sense of being music videos that's streamed live as you see here. But it is also a thing for (usually an opportunity for Idol VTubers) to preform live but typically there's less production... its hard doing that sort of thing. However Hololive has done crazy live concerts you visit irl and see. Essentially to the level of live hologram Vocaloid performances that Crypton hold (using Pepper's ghost illusion), ie. Hatsune Miku. As for Neuro, every year the community celebrates her anniversary/birthday which becomes a big subathon event. This last (3rd year) one, one of the special things is Neuro's 3D system (which came out a few months ago) got integrated with VRChat, meaning she gets to meet friends in the same virtual medium. Neuro has always had karaoke events covering songs (mixed by QueenPB, a vocaloid artist) and a VRChat one was held for a group of people. So yeah literally that live virtual performance you described using the VR medium. Also, it has been planned since 2025 (but had to be pushed into 2026) for an actual live hologram concert to the same level of Crypton. It's happening! Neuro's 3D system/coordination is not perfect yet but already there's so much potential, just some kinks to be smoothed out.
As a dance music producer, I'm actually surprised/impressed you're the first reactor to point out this being style wise, a cross between The Prodigy & Linkin Park or Evenecence. It's one of the first things I noticed. The Chester and Amy Lee style of singing
Another song that I think shows even more of her range is a cover of Machine Love by Jamie Paige. https://youtu.be/3jWOyIcKz98?si=SzAmQY02gelV6B8K
This is not nuero singing here. This video is using a fan-made vocalaid version of her vocals made by superbox and wispers. Still a great video by the swarm.
Please check out ‘Never’! It’s another original song that’s a duet between Neuro and Evil!
the is also an original song with Neuro-sama and Evil called Never https://youtu.be/CKCgoEGiUEg?si=TLjGA0Nb8-iOiggh
Unlike with neuro ,evil was essentially born because of this more human-like voice. It started as a gag by vedal to somehow make sure his efforts in making the voice he had made for neuro not going to waste. The community really liked evil and the voice really helped distinguish her from neuro and allowed her to basically evolve into a unique character.
Yes, Evil WAS the compromise for being able to work on the voice, to expirament, to push forward with the technology. If Neuro is going to be held to the original voice, Evil was created to continue pushing down that path.
Oh, also, Monii did a cover a Boom! as well if you’re interested in that! https://youtu.be/yo8N0-HOCqY?si=UAeyFm_xhynTI6db
Oo!
At this point, this is the last of Neuro (and Evil’s) original, although we know because of a sub goal that we completed that the twins have an EP that will be coming at some point. That being said, there’s still a lot of covers they’ve done! Both twins have done a cover with their friend Camila (another VTuber), and Neuro has sung a cover with Vedal. There’s also an entire website dedicated to all of the covers they’ve done in karaoke streams. You could always pick out a song from there and talk about how it sounds compared to the original
Here are the links to everything: Karaoke website: https://neurokaraoke.com Chinatown Blues (Neuro and Vedal): https://youtu.be/tVKgDbElMEc?si=8CmUWcXIvMdcTtE3 Monster (Neuro and Camila): https://youtu.be/1ewOadBo1Ws?si=cS-1lnIQZWOro0ws Evil (Evil and Camila): https://youtu.be/MWGnHCaqxdU?si=uY2JDRL6K0-mdxMO
So yeah the community was split on whether to change Neuro's voice. Vedal wanted to expand it but some people didn't want that to change. So what he did is he made a copy of Neuro, Changed her color set and had this new copy gain access to a near unlimited vocal range. They called her Evil and Vedal is kind of running a different experiments with her. How different can the 2 AI become when they started from the same point. She is allowed to swear and be edgy where Neuro has filters on her to prevent such things. Though being honest I feel Neuro is the more evil of the 2. So yeah they sound very different and trust me when I say.... you can tell the difference. Specially when the Abber Demon possesses her. At those times it's best to remove headphones. >_>
Abber Demon just being what the swarm has taken to calling it when Evil just suddenly starts making some weird noises and voices in some random ungodly point in her vocal range.
