Faouzia-'Don't Ever Leave Me' Quick Take

Great angsty song from Faouzia, I was surprised a bit by how much processing they put on her vocals here, definitely they did it as a stylistic effect. Wild!

Excellently analysis. You added interesting stuff. I think Faouzia just really likes this style. She keeps going in this direction but her fans keep requesting stripped versions. She’s been featured with electronics-heavy producers David Guetta, Martin Solveig, Illenium, and Galantis. Faouzia’s co-writer and producer on this is Arthur Besna. He’s produced songs for Nessa Barrett and Ellise and, I hear, for an upcoming Ava Max album. The heavy percussion in this song was a surprise, but the vocal treatment is not. For another Faouzia song, suitable for a really quick take, because it’s short, I suggest her 2019 “I’m Blue”. It’s a treatment she did of Eiffel 65’s 1999 Europop dance track “I’m Blue (Da Ba Dee)”. At the time, it felt like a bit of an experiment. But in 2023 it was used on the tv show “Red Rose” and she tweaked the audio again for that release. I’m looking forward to her upcoming music video for “I Lost My Mind in Paris”. It’s a bit different style again. Still a lot of effects. Thanks for reacting.
