Attack on Titan Season 1 Episode 16

Okay, so that Survey Corps HQ is located within Wall Rose. There's 130 km betweet Wall Rose ans Wall Sina, its a big territory and they are far away from Walls. They explained earlier that since it this HQ was that far away from walls it became useless for Survey Corps so they abandoned it, but they ended up using it to hide Eren. I wanna point out how beautifully animated was that scene when they were recruited by Survey Corps. When they just stand there, scared to death by the thought they will have to face with titans again, possibly die, most likely lose their comrades. They are terrified, but they know what should be done so they stay still and watch how most of the other recruits are leaving. And the way it was animated shows that choosing Survey Corps is going against the crowd. And of course music made this scene 100x times better Really love how much politics involved. I mean right now we only see a glimpse of it but still. Like Levi squad told Eren that Commander Erwin is planning something but for some reason decided not to disclose information to the soldiers. And I like how they just accept it, they know something is going on and they they are kept in the dark but they don't question it and follow orders

Eren seems a lot less tempermental since he started answering to Levi. It's like he matured a bit.

I have to say even after listening to these songs a lot, I've been totally enjoying appreciating/enjoying them again with you! Thank you for your insight and drawing my attention to things I missed. I would highly suggest some double headers for the upcoming episodes until the end of the season. It will add to the experience. Only do it if you can afford the time though.

If you like traditional Japanese instruments, I recommend the 2019 version of Dororo. The opening song is fire, beautiful animation, good story, dramatic soundtrack, and it's only 24 episodes.

Just a short reminder towards the three military forces: Military Police Brigade: Soldiers within the inner wall, directly protecting the king. Only the top elite cadets are allowed to join. They have a green horse as a symbol and the commander is Nile Dock (the guy who wanted Eren dead at the trial) Garrison: Largest Branch of the three. They take care of the defense of the walls. People like Hannes (who saved Eren back in Episode 1) are from the Garrison. Their symbol is a pair of roses. The bald guy Dot Pixis is the Chief Official of the Southern Territories of the Garrison. Survey Corps: Soldiers that venture outside of the wall on expeditions to find out more about the world outside the wall. The symbol is the "Wings of Freedom"*. Erwin Smith is the commander of the whole corps. They consist of 10 Teams within 4 squads. Squad Leaders are - Levi (Special Operations and Reconaissance) - 1 Team - Mike Zacharius (Support) - he was the sniffing guy - 3 Teams - Dita Ness (Support) - the guy with the bandana and the hair eating horse - 3 Teams - Hange Zoe (Logistics and Supply) - the female "mad scientist" with the glasses - 3 Teams And of course, you are in for a treat with the upcoming episode and I hope you find the time to put in some double headers for the upcoming episodes. You won't regret it.

Good rule of thumb: anytime they are relaxed they are not outside the walls! The area within the walls is just a lot bigger than it seems at first. There are forests, farmland and mountains inside the walls.

If we’re in it for the long haul, double header episode uploads will really help. AOT has ~94 episodes, so at our current rate of 1/week, it will take 2 years to get to the final episode. Just food for thought!
