Attack on Titan Season 1 Episode 12
Such an intense episode, great battles and MORE QUESTIONS! And, you can expect a new AoT reaction every Tuesday at least! Maybe more throughout the week when I have time.
Also, don't forget I have a collection now just for AoT. https://www.patreon.com/collection/1822244?view=expanded

The sheet force of him punching stuff in his Titan fourm destroys the body but it regenerates. Titan bodies while powerful are still flesh so not very durable. He's also exhausted in this episode as is everyone else. Every episode for the battle of Trost happens back to back so no one has had a chance to rest. And yeah the Titan body's just kinda disintegrate. Armin is in fact a guy however it is super duper common for women to voice male characters and that goes from Japanese and English! Luffy from One Piece is voiced by a woman as well as Naruto from Naruto! Another detail is that. they don't know about anything beyond the wall. They don't have a desert or an ocean, they only know about them from a book from armins parents. To them the idea of a body of salty water so vast you can't see the other side is foreign to them. Not to mention salt is a rare commodity so again the idea of an ocean seems crazy to them. Lastly it was their dream as kids to see the world beyond the walls.
Since you mentioned Japanese music, I'm a huge fan of Yorushika (ヨルシカ), I think the singer is so good and love their real instrumentation. would recommend 火星人 or 晴る (or really any song they have) if you ever check it out. I would love to hear more TK on the channel too, he's one of my favorite song writer/singers. Thanks for the AoT reacts as always!
Saw this this morning and couldn't wait to get home and watch it! Also Erens hands dissapear because he is literally just punching that hard. As someone else said he can't control himself so he's using full force and effectively punching his hand to a nub. As a titan he can regenerate though.
He lost the first hand punching out the wall, and he lost the second and a chunk of his face trying to punch Mikasa when she was dangling from his hair and she dodged, essentially punching himself out and starting up the fever dream.
Armin is male
Ah I don’t know how you contain yourself to only watch one episode with all these cliffhangers lol. The titan bodies disintegrate after they are killed
Such a great last scene 🔥
His hands are gone, cause he can’t control the Titan form yet he’s punching with his full force all Willy nilly
Since Tim says it doesn’t bug him this is like… day 20 of me requesting “Hiroyuki Sawano Project emU” it’s live renditions of a lot of the songs in aot😎
It’s beautiful 🥹
Great idea to have a regular schedule with the addition of some additional episodes from time to time. I'm sure the time will come, where you can't stop doing double-headers as cliffhangers will become way to intense and the series is still in it's early stages of drawing one in. Also, make sure to finalize your learning of the opening theme. I won't tell you how many episodes but not that far away, you might need to learn new lyrics ;-) Just to clarify some things you are sometimes uncertain of: - Armin is a boy (Armin is a typical german male name, but his japanese voiceactor is female, that might clear some confusion - this happens very often in Japan for young persones, or for softer characters - in japanese he even uses speech/slang that is not typical "boy-ish" but more soft/female) - the hole setting is somehwat inspired in middle-europe to a certain point of time, that's why many of the names are German, French and other areas of central europe. - the great thing about this series that many others fail to accomplish: Almost every question you might or will have, will receive an answer or a conclusion.
Offtopic, but since you asked... Here's a pretty good vid on some of the music theory behind Japanese music: https://youtu.be/-IyBwwMkw90?si=WC0zRHLy0YKeu0h8 Ofc it doesn't go into more "practical" differences like the use of harmony (often in lieu of the layered gang vocals more common in the west), instrumental stuff like slapbass often being the lead instrument or song structure. PS: 22:55 Armin is a he! x)
