Berg-'Roten Flaggen' Reaction
Wow, such a heavy song, 20 minutes in and I still felt there was more to unpack. Thanks Abby for that one.

Such a amazing Song🥰
Also I just want to say real quick that I really enjoy sharing these german songs and artists with this community❤️. It allows me to rediscover and share some of my own favorites but also watch you all experiance them for the first time. I might put another german rec into the November post if there is interest (maybe something fun this time😂😂)
I personly absolutly love Berq. Hes still a rather new artist that came kind of out of nowhere with this song about 2 years ago. His songs allways have something very poetic and artistic to them both lyricly and musicly that I just cant get enough of. There are so many songs of him that I love but if I would have to recommand another one it would probably be this one: https://youtu.be/u_xbJMWU0jQ?si=hRWjXTAW2vHKsZsq
Let me help a little with the lyrics😊 The "Fuck, du tust weh" line I would translate with "Fuck, you are painfull" which is interesting because the "you" is in a more passive role here. He is not saying you are actively hurting me (that would be: du tust MIR weh) but is using a sentence construction that in german we would normaly use to for example say that a pair of shoes is painfull. (Btw its really just the english Fuck hes using. We swear alot in english 😂) That kind of sets the tone for the whole Song. Its not really about accusing the other person of something but more about himself beeing stuck in this relationship that both know is unhealty and without perspective but even though hes suffering and risking to lose himself he cant stop either and keeps going back. There are a lot of very fine language details in this that make for absolutly beautyfull lyrics in german but also ones that are super hard to translate.
Thanks for this Abby!
