Attack on Titan: S1 Ep.2 (Japanese w/ English Subtitles)

You switched to the sub? That's unfortunate. I cant watch this. The dub is very good and you would follow the story better. Most people who watch anime watch dubs, so I hope you didn't get tricked by some vocal sub elitists and made this decision for your own viewing pleasure. Gatekeeping sub elitists in the anime community is a huge long standing issue. Anyways, enjoy the show regardless and get well soon. Ill also add, that it is far easier for a sub watcher to watch a dub reaction than a casual dub watcher to watch a sub reaction. So subs cut out the majority of people from being able to keep up and watch the content.

Never annoying, yap away (watch the show obviously), but this is a show that warrants yapping, theorizing open-ended questions so excited for all the questions you will have that NONE OF US SHOULD ANSWER. *unless it is to clarify based solely on that episode and past episodes information*

Please get well after the surgery! I’ll be looking forward to the next video! The number of comments never bothered me at all! It’s super interesting to hear what people think during their very first viewing, and also to hear their first impressions after an episode (if they come out naturally). I think many would agree with me: I personally don’t mind longer pauses in the middle of episodes for extra lore info if you’d like to read it. Those worldbuilding details really help to dive even deeper into the world around the characters. Personally, I was eagerly collecting every little bit of info about the technological progress of this alternate world 😅 Happy to see you’re enjoying this anime ❤️

I’m excited to see you watch more and hopefully you enjoy the music as much as I have!

Attack on Titan is truly incredible. I remember watching the first season within one weekend and having an existential crisis 😌 the music is some of the best you'll ever hear, everything from the intro songs to the soundtrack. I'm excited to watch it again along side you 😤

Don't make yourself crazy trying to blast through this series. I think one or two a week is fine, but then again, I'm a patient person. Life is a marathon, not a sprint. And comment away, dude! Exclaim, laugh out loud, the whole nine yards. That's part of the fun of watching movies and shows at home.

Regarding talking: It's fine to talk a lot as long as you keep a good flow and don't get bogged down by stuff. Oh and with AoT you are *not* going to be able to guess what will happen lol

I would prefer you to stop and say what’s on your mind. I think most of us have seen the anime before and are now rewatching it to watch it with you. I hope you’re ready for the emotional ups and downs that come with this show and hope it’s the gateway into the world of anime because there are so many good shows out there.

I feel like its tough to give feedback because everyone has different preferences! Personally I like when the person watching says everything they want to say, and watches it the way they most enjoy it. I am watching you because I want to know what comes up for you, share the experience, and to learn neat things from what you feel like sharing.

I NEVER skip intro songs, no matter how many times I've heard it. My cousins hate it 😂 I like to say that the Japanese voice actors put a lot more "oomph" into it and it gives the sound more texture. As for the pausing the video, this story has so much depth and so many intricate details to it that my husband and I would often pause it to talk about what had just happened to make sure we were understanding

Ugh. I can’t with the English subs. I’m an odd case but after seeing this show once I prefer closing my eyes when the titans eat people. The subtitles force me to see everything when I prefer to just listen sometimes. Not your fault but just how I have to adapt to take part in violent content.

I was just thinking about when episode 2 would drop!

Good luck on your surgery!!!

I had no idea you were fluent in German. You’re gonna love the songs in the show. At least two of them are fully in German. A lot of things in the show are influenced by Germany, including the architecture of the towns. It’s completely based on a real town in Germany it’s called Nördlingen

That song you heard in the background of when they were trying to get on the ship and when that titan broke though the wall that’s the Instrumental of the song “attack on titan” composed by Hiroyuki Sawano it’s incredible what a song can do for the atmosphere of a scene you’ll really get a kick out of his other songs 👀.that’s why you should react to the Hiroyuki Sawano project emu it’s so good it’s all his songs in one video with live instrumentals and vocals

Yeah, although eng dub is great, original has different vibe. It's phenomenal and I personally absolutely love Japanese VA's. Aot (short for Attack On Titan) might be confusing for someone new to the anime, so you're free to ask any questions and we'll do our best to explain it without any spoilers. You can also pause the video at any point if you want to take moment to process information, share your opinion on something or if you came up with some theories you want to takl about. Like it's crazy how their government pretty much sacrificed 20% of their population as a solution for food shortage, right? I hope you'll watch the whole series, even if you won't continue reaction on Patreon, you could watch it by yourself if you wanted, I think the storyline is really good and plot twists are insane. Anyway I hope you'll enjoy the show. By the way you might want to consider checking out Hiroyuki Sawano project emu Attack on Titan suite. Hiroyuki Sawano is a music producer and he created a lot of amazing music (not only for AOT). So this Attack on Titan suite is like live one take compilation of some AOT Soundtracks. I think you'd love to do a deep analysis on these
