CombatFlite is Now Freeware!
As you might have noticed already, CombatFlite is now available for all on https://www.combatflite.com/
The update is really minor: apparently it only removes the license features.
Unfortunately, no new theater added, no official database update, or no feature change...
Therefore, the workarounds described in the CombatFlite section are still relevant.
But since it's going this way, we can still dream that CombatFlite becomes open-source one of these days, so that we can make more radical changes than maps and database updates!
In any case, many thanks to Viper for his work, and for sharing this software with the DCS community.

why i can't download the latest version, the https://www.combatflite.com/ website only have v1.1.0.0
The update will be automatically downloaded after the first install and launch
good to know it is free now! wish community can maintain this software. is any news from viper? what happened there?
I don't know Viper personally, so unfortunately I don't have any cues about potential future developments
If its going to be given away then it should be open sourced so the community can develop it. It could still retain a license that means it cannot just be used for another project if the author is out there. I offered to talk about buying it out but never got a response.
Thanks for the post I was wondering if the update would effect the maps you've added
