Specific Diversion Diagram - F/A-18C Hornet and Mirage 2000C
Diversion data at Kandahar with fuel and transit details for F/A-18C Hornet and Mirage 2000C in DCS World.
Following the publication of the generic diversion diagram for Kandahar Airfield, I will present here a version tailored specifically to the F/A-18C Hornet and Mirage 2000. These high-performance military aircraft each have unique operational profiles, including fuel consumption rates or maximum range speed/AOA.
This version refines the generic diagram by incorporating detailed fuel planning and optimized transit altitudes. The airfields included remain the same, but the data now caters explicitly to these two aircraft. You have at the bottom of the page the detail of the assumptions that were made for each aircraft.
You will also find a void .pptx version of this diversion data page, so that you can easily create your own kneeboard page, either for another type of aircraft, or with different assumptions.
Note: operational considerations might make it necessary to increase these fuels, for example if you want to take into account possible extra holding time upon arrival at Kandahar, due to heavy traffic or temporary runway closure, before being forced to take the decision to divert.
April 2007 - A Mirage 2000D diverted in Kabul. At that time, they were based in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
