Dev log!

Hello everyone!

Time for the weekly devlog, I suppose? Alright, let's get to it.

Unfortunately, this week turned out to be much tougher than I expected. I had to deal with a lot of personal matters, so I barely managed to get any work done in the studio.

Well... aside from polishing a few scenes in the script and making around 200 renders... But! In the next week I'll finally be back to my usual pace! Yay! (Well... not quite.)

Now, about the update.

Originally, I planned to release it right after the public release, but after giving it some thought, I've decided to wait a little longer.

There are two reasons for that.

First of all, I need feedback. And the more, the better. After all...

Even though I think this update is pretty solid, especially compared to Astreon, I'd personally rate it around 7/10. Now I need to figure out where the story fell short and what I can improve to make the next chapter much more engaging.

(Although I think the overall pacing is good. The only exception is Rose's relationships, it ended up feeling a little... too sudden. But well, let's leave it as it is.)

The second reason is my work pace.

Unfortunately, I'll have to slow down a bit. It turns out that working at this speed has been taking quite a toll on my health. After two years of pushing myself like this... let's just say it's time to change my pace, and probably my lifestyle as well.

And one more thing...

The next chapter is going to be much more action-packed. There'll be a lot of battles, animations, and an enormous amount of rendering. On top of that, I still have to create all the maps myself.

Because of that, I'm setting the release target for the end of summer.

If everything goes well, I might even start the first tests later this month, but we'll see.
