Seeing all these people come for this person, for putting all their hard work and time into their creation and wanting a little something back from it, is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Y'all do realize you are not entitled to anything, and it won't kill you to wait another month for free access.

First of all, I’m really sorry for being away lately! I’ve been quite busy with things outside of The Sims 4, so I haven’t been able to give the game and my mods as much time as I normally do. 🤓 With my last release, I tried to bundle not only bug fixes, but also some important core changes and new color additions I had been working on, with the intention of keeping all my mods together as one package. As a new mod creator, I simply released it in the way that felt most familiar to me at the time, including Early Access. That said, I completely understand why some of you were frustrated, especially if you expected just bug fixes to be available to everyone right away. I genuinely hear that feedback, and I’m sorry that the way I handled the release left some of you feeling disappointed or frustrated. That wasn’t my intention. ❤️ I really appreciate everyone who took the time to share their thoughts and wishes for the future in a friendly and constructive way. I’m still learning, and feedback like this helps me understand what feels fair and reasonable to you as users of my mods. I’ve been trying to balance everything going on outside of Sims with my modding work, and I’m incredibly grateful for your patience, understanding, and continued support. Thank you so much for sticking around and supporting my work. It truly means a lot to me. 💕

an update/fix to a public mod behind a paywall is crazy

Naomi Mae · August 31, 2026

Hey MiliNiki. Thanks for your work on your mods. I enjoy them and feel like they make the game better, but I do hope that you may consider some of what has been said. There were some people who's delivery wasn't the nicest; however, their point is valid. Public mods should have access to public updates. It seems unfair to force us to either have to remove the mod entirely until the paywall is cleared weeks later. I don't want you to feel like this is about making your hard work 100% free. I believe optional things/add-ons should be paywalled because they aren't essential. But pay walling essential updates feels wrong. I hope you'll reconsider for future updates now that your supporters have expressed their feelings!

I think the mods are still broken. They keep breaking/crashing my game and I subscribed just for the update 😫

A fix behind a paywall is crazy

i agree with everyone else on this post talking about you charging for the fixes. next time you come out with a mod you should charge from the start and offer a promo deal with people to promote your mod , then you see how many people really want it and willing to support. the number good enough for you then keep it behind a paywall if not offer a free version at a later date how you are doing it now. you will lose supporters doing it backwards like this. dont charge for updates you more people will delete the mod or go around your paywall doing so.

just greedy af putting an update fix to a broken mod behind a paywall

Hi, I just want to reiterate what has been said from your supporters. I understand the hard work that goes behind mods and cc creation but if you are simply fixing/updating original features, that version should be free and public as there are no new features added. If you add new features, then yes you can give Patrons early access. However, I think September 16 (a whole month later) is a bit much for a delay of public release and giving the wrong impression. There can easily be a package/version for fixes/updates for public, and another package/version for early access with new features that are added. Also, I'm a sims content creator on TikTok with thousands of views and it's very hard to suggest mods when the mod is stuck behind a paywall for a month or so for simply updates/fixing especially when Sims makes updates monthly at this point. I hope you reconsider because many of your supporters, who helped you get here, are not happy and that's the audience we serve as influencers, creators, etc. Of course you cannot make everyone happy but I do have to agree that this is something that can be altered.

^ this. I agree, there is a lot of work that goes into creating a mod, but other creators (Turbo, Basemental) do this, they release new updates that are critical for public as soon as they're able to, but any new additions and features are early release.. hot fixes and mod fixes/repairs in general should never be behind a paywall, even if it does eventually get released. I haven't been able to use this mod in a while as it's been broken for me too, and I'm an IRL pilates girly, so this is a great mod for my gameplay, but it's difficult to want to use it when fixes to make the mod useable aren't publicly available... great work, but difficult to remain a supporter.

Bummer, I have to wait for a mod fix until September. Mod fixes should NOT be behind a paywall. Please consider changing this.

Hi. Genuinely asking, but why are fixes to a mod behind a paywall?

S
Sierra Savage · August 14, 2026

like no seriously .. i can see new updates with new features being behind a paywall, but for the mod to be functional at all is absurd.
