Valmora Dev. Update — Moved to UE 5.8
Hi everyone!
Alessio here!
Recently, most of our time has been dedicated to moving Valmora to Unreal Engine 5.8.
The update affected many parts of the game, so we have been working to make everything stable again: from menus and dialogues to companions, character customization, and the world itself.
At the same time, we have continued improving the gameplay. The horse system has been rebuilt, the camera can now move farther away from the player, and combat is more reliable when fighting without locking onto an enemy.
The map has also been updated with custom markers that can be placed and saved by the player.
Progress is also moving forward. The bandit camp environment, enemies, and quest are complete, while we continue working on the cathedral area, the introduction, and the final presentation content.
A big thank you to everyone who continues to support the project and send us feedback. Many of these improvements came directly from problems and suggestions shared by the community.
For supporters, we have prepared a second post with new work-in-progress videos showing how we are improving character movement, combat executions, and animations involving multiple characters.
