Dev-log #6 - Working on new landscape - 27/09/2025
Hi folks, Alex here!
Itโs time for our weekly devlog: every Saturday at 12:00 CEST I bring you the latest from behind the scenes: updates, fixes, new features, and a few visual treats.
Today's post is less "dispersive" than usual, let's say that most of our effort this week has gone into improving the game in preparation for Monday's deployment. But there are two big news in store for you. One is today's topic, while the other will remain a secret at least until next week's devlog. A little suspense never hurts, right? ๐
We are rebuilding the landscape from the ground up with better, more flexible materials. The current set feels flat, so we are remaking the terrain and map for a more polished, professional look and clear performance gains, so it runs better on more PCs. All current features carry over: new trees, waterlines, swimming, snow, rain, and puddles. We are also adding interactive foliage and improved tree motion in the wind that syncs with the weather without hurting performance.
And that's all for today, see you on monday!
Thanks for reading today and for keeping the project alive with your feedback and support.
Founders still have access to the pre-alpha build and we will not take it down until a newer, stable build is ready. If you want to play what others tried, become a Founder and jump in.
