I was once shown a satellite image of Saldo’s tacky mansion in a uni history lecture. In 2013 we had a Ukrainian guest prof who I think was supposed to talk about the Nestor Chronicle but he used the full back half of the lecture to show satellite photos of Ukrainian politician’s mansions and compared them to their official salaries to highlight their corruption. Cool dude.

The silver lining to this story is that Saldo knows that people are out there actively trying to kill him. People who know how*. His entire life, until the day one of them finally gets a clear shot, is going to be fear, paranoia and the certain knowledge that if he lets his guard down for an extended period of time his life ends.
