June 2026 Status Report
Finishing up v28 def took a bit more time than I initially expected, and the first chunk of the month was entirely dedicated to Jennifer's fight and Loss scene, though the BG for the oni twins' arena was also added in over that time.
Then, the last week before the update was entirely focused on playtesting, bug fixing, and balancing the new content. Still, some slippery bugs managed to get in despite all the effort, as they do, which led to the bug fix patch the day after launch.
Based on player reports, it also sounds like the Jennifer battle might need a bit of further balancing? Though I'm not sure, given the wide breadth of people's builds and levels, the variety of available Club Mirage-specific buffs/debuffs when tackling the related content, and some people having a harder time with her than others. Some players have also been saying that the Melody+Cadence fight prior to Jennifer was actually harder than her.

After a bit of post-update decompression, it has been back to fixing bugs and addressing typo reports. However, since I don't think anything that I'm currently aware of warrants another bug fix patch, that will likely get bundled into v28.1, which I'll get to working on once all of the known issues are dealt with.
There's also been the kunoichi trainee CG teaser getting completed and shared. Said CG will be going into the 28.1 update as well, and all feedback given on it has been heard and responded to in the dedicated post as of today.
As for what v28.1's content will be, I'm not yet entirely sure, since with another stamp location having been fully completed, I actually have a LOT of different things I could do at the moment... However, I can certainly say that I need a break from Club Mirage after all the work and focus that went into it over the last few months.

I think the jennifer fight is otherwise fine, but could do with another stance (bj for example) imo
Re: the Jennifer thing. 100% Melody and Cadence are harder. I think they both do a lot of damage a n d have a bunch of statuses to deal with. AND there's two of them? it's a lot, and while the Fashionable Succubus can be a handful, there's only one of her so it's more manageable. Factoring in the club debuffs/buffs does make it easier, but if the fight is only manageable with those effects, it kind of makes them non-optional, no? Plus, that means their labyrinth form is especially hard, and even more so due to how strong they scale vs, say, the hellhounds. All that said, I'd say try balancing it for the difficulty that's *expected* (like level 60 or whathaveyou), even if the people who were waiting for the update are overleveled (they could always delevel, right?). That would probably narrow down the feedback into something more clear. For reference, I levelled down to 75ish, with a relatively strong setup, and was still pushed a noticeable amount when playing it the first time (without club buffs/debuffs, didn't find them).
Been playing the game for over 5 years now and it's been AMAZING to go from what it was to having zero text placeholders and some CGs for scenes; however, one thing I think that should be added (to every adult game that doesn't have it honestly) is a checklist for scenes. Some games have a gallery with hints on how to unlock the locked scenes, some have just a checklist, and while I think this could be insanely hard to implement for the entire game I would even love a google doc or something with a list of every single sex scene including battle losses and victories. Having played the game for over half a decade I can't remember which girls I've lost to in which stances and which 'services' I've bought and I want to enjoy every part of this incredibly large game without anything falling through the cracks

More Iabel or Jora content would be cool, or just any snakegirl content really~. The updates so far are amazing tho, great work!

I thought the Jennifer fight was hard but doable, for me it boiled down to oneshotting Melody and Cadence then DPS-racing Jennifer as best I could crit. The variety of backroom buffs definitely help to tailor it to the player's benefit as well. Club Mirage as a whole was a lot of fun!
