February 2026 Status Report

V27.4 is now out with its many assorted things, and currently looking like it will not need a bug fix patch, though that could change.

February started off with me getting all of Malicia's Relic-trading stuff squared away, including both the creation of the new items and the setup for the item-trading logic. This is something I'd been meaning to try and sneak into quite a few updates, and which I decided to do for the v27.4 update for sure. This is also what led Val to make lots of new doll play scenes with the dragoness, which were also edited and approved over the month.

Then next was getting the Harpy Tengu combat event made so they had more opportunities to use their shiny new CG than just their duo loss scene. They also really needed a small nudge of some kind to help make their fight more distinct from the normal harpies' anyways, so it was amusingly taking care of two birds at the same time. Around that point was also when the new guild BG got completed and added to the game.

With all those additions, as well as the stuff detailed in the previous status report, I probably could have put out an update around Valentine's, but I felt like it would be better to take care of another loose end before moving on to the Aphrodesia District stamp, namely the option to rematch Perpetua. This involved giving her a lvl 10 version of her fight, with the skill set she would have theoretically had if you had fought her before the Capital, including some new moves. This is also what made me realize she needed face sitting stance lines. Well, really, a lot of her fight could probably do with a makeover, but I'd rather not fall down a rabbit hole.

So with that done and with some time left in the month, I decided I wanted to add a new, rarer event when traveling the Capital at night, and with the city locale being very fitting for urban horror vibes for many reasons, I made it a spooky one. With February being only 28 days, though, I may have cut it a bit closer than intended, considering Val and I were also still tying up the rest of the more casual Malicia scenes over that time. But overall, I think the event turned out pretty good, and is a solid extra hazard for the locale. For the record, though, much like with the lady from the Starlit Window event in the Starlight District, I don't think I'll get art for it, as I feel like it would take away from the horror aspects and the degree of imagination involved with that.

Now that the update has been released, and barring a bug fix patch being needed, the next update will be focused on getting the Aphrodesia stamp content done, which may take more than one month depending on how things shake up, even with the Melody and Cadence art and fight already set up.
