In The Sims 4, when you change the color of the cone and save it, it prompts "administrative privileges required", which is usually caused by insufficient system permissions or file write permissions. Here are the detailed solutions. 1. Manually modify the game folder permissions Make sure you have the right to modify the game files. 1. Find the game installation directory (e.g. default path: C: \Program Files(xxxxxxxx)) \Program Files(x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4). 2. Right click on The Sims4 folder → Properties →Security→Edit. 3. Select your user account, check Full Control → Apply and save. 4. To the Mods folder (Path:Documents), select the Mods folder. \Electronic Arts\TheSims4\Mods) and repeat the above steps. 2. Disable User Account Control (UAC) Temporarily lower system privilege restrictions. 1. Press Win + S, search for UAC → Open Change User Account Control settings. 2. Turn the slider to the lowest → Restart the computer and test whether it is solved. 3. Check antivirus/firewall software -Temporarily disable third-party antivirus software or Windows Defender that comes with the system. -Add the game directory (e.g. The Sims 4 and Mods folder) to your antivirus program's trust/whitelist. I apologize for the problem, I have found a total of three possible causes that you can try, and if it doesn't work, I don't know what it is because I and most others have not encountered this.
