Dev Update II for 0.6

Hello everyone,

I’m excited to kick off 2025 with some great progress on version 0.6 of Blossoming Journey! Over the past ten days, I’ve focused on reworking existing scenes to add new choices and make the early game richer and more interactive. Alongside these updates, I’ve also written 22,000 new words, bringing the total word count for this update to a staggering 60,000 so far.

(Reminder: While these updates are adding depth and variety, the main storyline—including the quadruple love story—remains the focus for now. Big branching paths are still planned for the future!)

Meet Marcus

One of the highlights of this update is the introduction of new characters. Marcus is a freshman with a passion for mountain climbing, video games, and coffee. He shares a common interest in Legend of Zara with the MC, which helps them bond in HIST101 class on Thursday mornings.

For now, their relationship focuses on nerdy friendship and shared interests (like their mutual admiration for their professor), but Marcus will be a potential partner for the MC as the story unfolds.

More Characters, More Content

Marcus is just one of three new characters planned for 0.6, each bringing fresh dynamics and story opportunities. Expanding the cast is challenging but will be incredibly rewarding as it deepens the world and the MC’s journey.

In addition to the rework and new character, I’ve also added a brand-new day of new content and several new gym events! By the time this update is complete, it will include seven new days of new content to push the story forward!

Closing Thoughts

This update is shaping up to be the biggest and most ambitious yet. I’m working hard to make sure it lives up to your (and honestly my) expectations, but with its scale and complexity, I can’t yet say when it will be ready for release. Your patience and support mean everything to me, and if you’re able to contribute or share the project or give it a good review somewhere, it truly helps keep this project going.

Thank you for being part of this adventure—I can’t wait for you to experience all that’s coming in 0.6. Stay tuned for more updates, and here’s to a fantastic year ahead!
