Thank you letter and some commentary on art
The context for this message was that I hit 200k followers on Twitter yesterday, which isn’t my biggest platform anymore (Instagram has been very kind to me in recent years) but is still a huge milestone for me considering Twitter is where I first got my start. Additional context is that every week there’s a new art related discourse online. It’s not in my character to jump at the opportunity to voice my opinion online because I’m not an overly reactive person, but I am of course quite passionate about what I do. So, this felt like a nice opportunity to let a lot of my thoughts on art philosophy spill out onto the paper. Thank you so much for being here, and I hope you’ll take the time to read!

Harris I love your art and the way you talk about art. Excited to have it in physical form soon ❤️
You freakin rock!
Preach man!!! Paradoxically, I find art to simultaneously be an important form of escapism while also a powerful medium of engagement with the world around us, especially through art with optimistic or positive messages. I think it’s essential for artists to create, but especially when the national dialogue is bleak. All of this is to say we love you Beetle Moses <3 keep doing what you do (I think it’s safe to say I speak for all of your fans when I say this).
Thank you so much and I absolutely agree with your sentiment. Art can be a coping mechanism and also a powerful social force and sometimes the line is blurred. Much love to you!
