New Mario Scale Going Forward
Starting with the next Mario release (coming out very, very soon), I’ll be transitioning the Mario series lineup to 125% scale. Both the original 100% and the new 125% will be available until October 2025. After that, the 125% scale will become the new standard 100%.
Scaling to 160% will match the old 200%. From then on, whenever I design Mario characters at a larger scale, I’ll be creating them at 160%. This way, those of you who have been printing at 200% can continue matching your collections seamlessly.
I try to keep all the characters in scale with each other, and this change helps make that easier. Printing at a slightly larger size not only improves the overall look but also makes assembly much simpler. It also gives me more freedom when designing smaller characters with fine details like Bowser Jr. arriving in September which may be possible to design without a 0.2 mm nozzle at the new 125% scale.
Overtime, I’ll also be revisiting past Mario models to check which parts need small adjustments. To help, I plan on providing a spreadsheet for each model so you can easily scale specific pieces up as needed if you choose to redo your past collection. In most cases, only parts like eyes and pins require slightly larger tweaks beyond a straight 125% upscale. Even the largest model so far, Bowser, has been confirmed to fit on the 256mm x 256mm build plates at 125% without splitting.
I understand that some of you with large collections at 100% may prefer to keep printing at that scale. The good news is that scaling down from the new 125% standard is simple—dropping to 80% will bring models back to the classic size, and most should print without any problems.
Thank you all for supporting the Mario lineup as it continues to grow. I’m excited about this new 125% scale and the improvements it brings to both building and design. Whether you stick with the classic size or move forward with the new standard, my goal is to make sure every model is fun, easy to build, and looks great in your collection. Stay tuned for Bowser Jr. this September and many more characters to come!

I'm glad I will still be able to print at 80%, i have too much to reprint everything and like them all being to scale. I'm also a little short on display room and at 125% I'd need 25% more space too.
Yesssssssss
That’s cool I just gave someone advice on this very thing yesterday, that’s cool I do enjoy tremendously the size format you do currently have but some models do need to scale up just to make it work easier 🫡🫡🔥🔥
I would love to see Rosalina added to the Mario collection one of the best characters
I think she will eventually make it to the collection, not sure when, but it would be great to see her with the rest of the princesses!
This is awesome news! I’m a bigger is better type guy! I do have one question as far as future models go, what do we have to do to get a Mario with F.L.U.D.D from Sunshine?
Ohhh I have been looking Mario with the FLUDD, and that is definitely a model I want to build. I will be sure to have him on the list going forward!
