[Devlog] August 2026
August sure went by quick.
I spent time learning how to make better animations, I'm finally starting to make loras to make the base art better and more consistent, and making adjustments to my process.
These all bring the quality of my output to a new level - but they take some time getting used to, and time to get it right. Have to get with the times or risk getting left behind, and I'm not one to prefer smashing rocks together for a spark when others are using lighters.
As in the last devlog, I'm still working on the mechanic scenes, on the last portion of them. They have totally blown out of scope and proportion and I really do need to do a better job of setting limits for myself for up to where I execute on an idea that I let expand. Otherwise it can cause issues with the rest of the planned update.
No worries though, we're still trucking along steadily.
I've always done this where I make plans then ignore half of them while following an inspiration that struck me mid-scene.
Just so you know - even though the update isn't coming until December and it might seem to some like nothing's happening behind the scenes - I'm putting in a minimum of 8 hours every day where I'm either working on the game or on something related to it.
I've got 3 and a half months left to deliver an awesome update, and I'm excited for you guys to get your hands/eyes on it!

Thanks for the update. Im curious as to your process. I have a bunch of experience now with character building, LoRa training and making workflows streamlined in comfyUI. Can't wait for the update.. Perhaps I'll DM you and see if I can't share things to help make your life simpler.

Not sure if you are looking at it, but do consider Minimax H3 for animations. I've tried it and though more hardware taxing, it is significantly more powerful than Wan or LTX.
H3 is the new animation king, for sure 😎

I'm sure no one is against beautiful animations, but I hope they will be optimized or have options for reduced quality for those who don't have supercomputers.
