I first played your game last year and immediately became hooked on it. I just now looked for and found you on patreon and saw this. I'm also a dad of 3 (all over the age of 3 thank God) but I understand, appreciate and respect your choice. My oldest is in HS, middle in 3rd grade and youngest starts kindergarten in September. Every day, I look at my youngest and feel so damn happy and sad. Happy he's growing into his own person and going to experience life and sad that I won't have a little one to come rushing to me when I get home from work or crawling all over me. My little buddy... Treasure it. From one father to another-treasure it. Even the difficult times will be looked back on fondly when they're all grown up. Enjoy it all.

I think Sam's comment is the most accurate: family comes first. In my case, I'm going to continue my subscription because I want to keep supporting this project, which I love. The important thing is that you realized you had to change your priorities for the greater good, and that's your family.

If you are "financially stable enough so that" you can afford to have some of us cancel, why not pause charges for a time? We won't be tempted to cancel and would retain our membership while you take care of responsibilities not related to game development. The huge update idea is exciting.
