Long explanation of Moxibustion, so apologies to Karlii if she blanks it out
Moxibustion is a therapeutic technique from Traditional Chinese Medicine that involves burning mugwort on or near the patient. The mugwort leaves and root is dried and ground to a powder than pressed into a cone or stick and then burned. you usually hold the burning portion near different acupuncture points, placing small cones of it directly on the acupuncture points while burning, or fitting pieces of it to the end of the acupuncture needles and burning them. The theory behind it is that it promotes Qi/Ki circulation through the medians. In reality it does have some benefits and doesn't actually need the mugwort to work. Basically the heat causes the blood vessels around it to constrict while causing the vessels farther away to expand which if done right it can improve the symptoms like inflammation and joint pain. It has been studied a bit and is used as a basis for thermotherapy and studies show it has benefits for breach births with 66-68% success rate for safe resolutions.
The author keeps planting data seeds that take forever to bloom, just when you think things are solved anothe seed sprouts and things from much earlier get brought back into the light. what more lore is waiting to sprout into the light of day and how does Maomao figure into things?
Moxibustion is where they put a small pile of insence/herbs on you then slow burn it. It's basically a different version of Acupressure and Acupuncture, I've had it done, it feels nice. It's not very hot at all. Feels like a very small heating pad.
No! We were right. I'm included in this.
look careful at that trio they made connections here without not many paying too much attention too.
I've watched this anime three times now and I just had the thought that maybe Lakan gave Jinshi the task of providing blue roses as a test. That might have been why he was so annoyed when Jinshi actually brought him the right colored roses
It was a provocation aimed at both Maomao and Jinshi, however because the roses didn’t bloom in time he deemed it a failure. As Maomao later points out Luomen praises Lakan with no caveats, Lakan likely knew of some method or way to get fully in bloom roses by the deadline thanks to Luomen that Maomao missed or wasn’t aware of. Lakan likes giving Jinshi seemingly impossible tasks, he also believes in developing and promoting those with talent, and as seen with his wife showing off the abilities of those he loves. Originally Lakan gave Jinshi a seemingly impossible mystery to solve and told him to ask Maomao for help, Lakan knew something was up, but if Maomao was the one to solve it it would boost her status/standing, however she ended up getting hurt as a result so he wasn’t doing that again. Instead his next seemingly impossible challenge to Jinshi was Blue Roses which if Maomao created would boost her status/standing, however they didn’t bloom in time. Lakan’s interactions with Jinshi have two goals annoy Jinshi as a form of revenge for swiping Maomao from him, and getting people to see and acknowledge how amazing his daughter is. He’s a proud, overbearing, and vindictive father
MaoMao’s in trouble….AM I RIGHT MAOMAO?
Second her. Meow meow time
Moamoa time!
