Fun fact the reason you can't pinpoint certain sounds it's because it's all one frequency. I can't explain how dogs can tell where it is but we can tell where sounds come from by the slight delays hitting one ear vs the other. If it's the same frequency it's hard for our brains to calculate the delay

mao mao has said before that she does think hes objectively attractive and i think its just a case of mao mao doesn't really think about romance or anything because she feels like shes not in a position where she can. shes definatly making it difficult to tell her more on purpose because shes trying to just separate from the danger of high up court drama, but as Gaoshun said shes so usefull and important that she has to be made aware because they need as much support as possible for when jinshi has to stop being jinshi
