Dragon Ball 53-54

43:15 Toriyama does come up with the story as he goes along, but to be more precise, he knew Goku was somehow different, but he didn't know how. So he mentioned early on that he was an alien and planned to figure out what that meant at a later date. This is a form of foreshadowing that many pantsers use. And Toriyama's mastery of this technique is why Goku being a Saiyan didn't feel random. Toriyama mentioned exactly when he figured out Goku's origin, and I'll let you know once you get there. As for Karlii, you did it again; you pronounced Kubo's first name wrong. It's not Teetay Kubo; it's Taito Kubo or simply Tight Kubo.

Chris Sabat has voiced Black characters in the past, and yes, he's even done a stereotypical African-American accent, but as a Black dude myself, I loved it. He voiced a Black character named Garterbelt in Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt; you guys have to check it out. It's hilarious. It's basically what happens when you mix The Powerpuff Girls and Family Guy and sprinkle in some anime BS.

Goku taking the time to rescue a mouse during a ruins collapse was sweet of him. Bulma handing that precious gem to Roshi only for Launch to take off with it and their ride was a funny turn of events. I think she earned that payday with her housekeeping for the turtle hermit all this time lol.

roshi gave the pole to gohan who gave it to goku

Once we get past General Blue and get to the next RR villain we start peak Dragon Ball!
