Bleach: TYBW EP: 6 - HE'S BACK
Literally don't know what was the best part of this episode. Yama's Bankai was truly the best episode of bleach we've ever seen but also... the GOAT is back!

Chef Taylor is back with a vengeance lol let him cook!
Cinema 😎
The names and pronunciations for most of the Quincy words are derived from old German as well as Ancient Hebrew. "J", "I", and "Y" were interchangeable, as were "V", "B", and "W" sounds depending on context, so "Jehovah" could also be read as "Yehweh" for "God" in text. "Ywach" is taking it just a small step forward, from "Yahweh" to "Yu-wa-ba-ha" in speech. P.S. when I read it in the Manga as it was being released weekly, I always pronounced his name in my head as "Ya-wok" or "Ya-watch" as there was nothing spoken for it at the time. As I say, I've been a fan of Bleach for a VERY long time.
I started your Bleach journey late but caught up finally. What a ride and the roll coaster just started! PEAK Reaction!!!! Can’t wait for more…just torture 😂
Aizen has never said that he wants to destroy Soul Society. Aizen wants to rule Soul Society.
Mercy ult 😂
MID EPISODE CARD TRANSLATIONS: Shinigami and Quincy: Shinigami purify Hollows and send them to the Soul Society, while Quincy destroy and annihilate them. In order to maintain the balance of souls, Shinigami have repeatedly attempted to communicate with Quincy, but have been repeatedly refused, and the conflict has sometimes escalated into war. A thousand years ago, the Sternritter, led by Yhwach, invaded the Soul Society, but were defeated by the existence of the Gotei 13, founded by Yamamoto Shigekuni. Having lost even his own soldiers, Yhwach retreated and went into hiding in the Shadow Realm. Then, two hundred years ago, after long debate, the Soul Society decided to carry out an operation to exterminate the Quincy. They were supposed to have been destroyed, with only a few survivors remaining. The true name of "Ryujin Jakka," the strongest and oldest flame-type Zanpakuto of Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni. After Bankai, the blade becomes like charred charcoal, exerting such an effect that it evaporates moisture from the atmosphere throughout the Soul Society. If Bankai is maintained for a long time, it is powerful enough to destroy the wielder and the Soul Society itself, and its true value is unleashed by activating four different techniques named after the four cardinal directions. The heat, which reaches 15 million degrees, burns away anything it touches without a trace. The flames visible when "West" "Zanjitsu Gokui" is activated are thought to be a visualization of the overwhelming spiritual pressure that Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni possesses, and "South" "Kakajuumanokushidaisoujin" has the power to temporarily revive the dead by imbuing the ashes of those it has killed in the past with heat.
Yama's bankai is i think the first universal level feat we've seen in Bleach. We're getting to DBZ levels
It only gets better, we need more drops!
Yhwach is officially pronounced "Yuhabaha" (yoo-hah-bah-hah) or how I pronounce it yoohoo-baja(blast)

Orihime slander detected
the name is very purposely chosen like this. early translations of the manga back in the day had him as "Yuha Bach" which was kind of accepted for a long time, because there was like the thinking of "no way mf-er named the dude a word noone can pronounce 'yhwach' ". Let's take something german-sounding, aight? Well as it turns out, kubo did exactly that as an nod to the hebrew name for 'god' being 'Yahweh' or in some writings 'YHWH'.
The name Yhwach comes from a mix of the tetragrammaton, i.e., God in Hebrew, and wach, meaning awake in German. The name would be pronounced Yuhavach But Japanese doesn't have a v or a ch sound. (English doesn't have the German ch sound either) So it became Yuhabaha. Many fans call him Yuha for simplicity. Edit: If you're curious about how to pronounce the German ch, it's not pronounced like the ch in chair. It's more like the French R. Like a growly H sound.
Yhwach is pronounced (yoo-ha-baha or yoo-ha for short)
Yoo-Ha seems great.
I know you two are only doing 1 reaction per release day and that you're not going to do two. Could we maybe have a compromise and get like 4 TYBW a day instead? 😁 It tis but a small ask, I swear...
Sounds like a reasonable compromise :D
God *damn* the Blue Ray looks incredible "WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING???" is TYBW version of "WHAT THE FUCK IS THHHHAAATTTT BROOOOO" BIG AIZEN BACK IN 2K26 IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT!!! Karlii out here just NOT believing it lol and now we have to waaiiittttt 😭😭😭😭
Also coming back to watch this for the like 8th time [second with yall] and yeah that new drawing is *very* subtle but after it's all said and done and you rewatch it you'll laugh
Karli is like an AI chatbot. She makes up past info, and she's very confident about it. LOL Aizen did not lose an eye. It's a seal, like the rest of his body, wrapped in the same cloth.
yea, she does that a lot. she was supposed to be the expert but she gets most facts and the lore wrong
Yhwach is pronounced you-ha-ba-ha (Yuhabaha) , most people just call him you-ha. It comes from the Hebrew name for God in the Old Testament (combined with a German word). Kenpachi didn't lose to the imposter guy. He killed Loyd Loyd, and his twin brother Royd Loyd is the one who fought Yama. They both have the same Schrift. Yama's adopted name is the one that changes. His first name is Shigekuni, Yamamoto is his family name, and Eijisai/Genryusai is his adopted name.
I remember so many pronouncing Yhwach as "you watch". XD
That's what I thought when we read it!
Its pronounced you-ha-ba-ha hope that helps its a close resemblance to the Christian god yahweh with a german twist to it 😆
Fuck sleep, ITS TIME FOR PEEEEEAAAAAAK
