Dev Diary Quickie - Movie-Fy
Here's a quick overview of how Movie-Fy works in the UI.
It performs a simultaneous search of your local Stash folders and performs a lookup against the Movie-Fy database.
The database is quite extensive, but not yet perfect! Hopefully, however, it will more than cover the majority of our movie users' needs.
Simply type a movie name - If there is a match, click the 'View' icon to review the movie to ensure it's the correct one and then select it - Select the corresponding folder group that contains your movie scenes....and then magic happens!
Movie-Fy will then automatically create the movie in your Stash, update the scenes to be a part of the movie, and input all of the movie's metadata for you!
All that's left is identifying your movie scenes...but that's also coming soon as an add-on to Movie-Fy, so stay tuned!
Here's a quick note to help users: you may find that if you refine your folder structure a bit and make individual subdirectories for each of your movies, Movie-Fy will have a much greater chance of identifying you folder groups with the appropriate movies.
For instance:
Movies Directory > Movie A Subdirectory | Movie A Scene 1, 2, 3.... - Movie-Fy will be successful almost 100% of the time in this scenario.
The alternative, and where Movie-Fy is not yet equipped is a structure like this:
Movies Directory > Movie A-Scene 1, 2, 3, 4......Movie B Scene 1, 2, 3, 4....etc.
When there is one large directory with a bunch of different scenes, that is where Movie-Fy still needs some refining.
