The Walking Dead: Destinies - Don't Open, Dead Inside (Review)

GameMill Entertainment are back with another terrible licensed game. So soon after Skull Island, too! Yeah, The Walking Dead: Destinies is as bad as they say, and you can read my review if you CLICK HERE!

This is a game I would like to try, if it were only more of a competent product. I never went too deep with the series, but between this review and Mind Pulp going back on their initial choice just to kill off Carl in their gameplay video, I鈥檓 beginning to sense that that character wasn鈥檛 much cared for. 馃槀

I think I agree with Conrad on the point that *removing things* from images is probably the best use of generative machine learning (it's not AI). All sorts of uses come to mind and it's not going to take anyone's job. We still need photographers to take the photos and so on.

What I genuinely don鈥檛 understand is how these brands give their licenses away to this company known for shoddy work. Walking Dead and Kong are both active IPs with future projects continuing to come out. Allowing this company access to their brands feels damaging and 100% avoidable with the most basic Google searches.

I assume mobile gaming has taught them that people will just...buy anything with an ip attached, and a bad licensed game doesn't really hurt the brand at all. That the math on spending money on a great game using a big ip and making a big profit off a big investment just isn't worth bothering with, when you can make a small profit off zero investment. It's the only thing that could explain the deluge of terrible games like this that led me to almost entirely write of mobile gaming as a scam years ago.

Wouldn't surprise me if one of the Romines was the ceo of Gamemill

GameMill is going to need it's own section for this year's game awards.
