The Jimquisition: On Publishers Controlling Game Reviews

As Bethesda proudly announces it will no longer provide review copies until the day before a game launches, The Jimquisition decides to deliver some hefty side-eyeing.

This news came just as your very own Jim Sterling found out EA considers him a "wild card" who isn't to be trusted with high profile games like Battlefield 1.

Game publishers have been steadily manipulating the review process for years, and when you consider how shitty the "AAA" game world's become... is it any bloody wonder?

Every time you post something with an anti-corporate rant, I become more and more surprised you haven't seen Leverage. Is it a matter of finding the time, not being sure if you'd dig the subject matter, what? I mean, I'd think you'd be vaguely interested for "Sterling never loses" alone: <a href="https://www.google.com/search?q=" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.google.com/search?q=</a>"sterling+never+loses" Nevermind the whole, "People like that…corporations like that, they have all the money, they have all the power, and they use it to make people like you go away. " (I hope this doesn't come across as nagging, it's just a genuine surprise to me.)

Do you ever tire of being such a puckish rogue?

Dammit, Jim. Stop being such a Wild Card that you pull your own videos. On a related note, an extra Jimquisition? On a TUESDAY? My, I must have been a good boy this week.

Looks like it was pulled.

I was two minutes into the video. That's the last straw, Jim Fucking Sterling, Son! As soon as I find the time to cancel my Patreon account, I'm going to... not cancel it. Or will I? I don't know. I haven't taken my medication today so this could go either way. I mean, who's to say you don't have a perfectly valid reason to remove the video? Maybe it was the wrong edit. Or perhaps meant to be Monday's video. Or maybe it's due to another perfectly valid reason. On the other hand, have you considered that my only reason for living is viewing your product? If that were the case you could have just RUINED MY FUCKING LIFE! If while watching the news tomorrow you happen to see that some guy jumped feet-first into a wood chipper set to "slow grind," well, let's just say that you'll deserve all the shame you set upon yourself. Or will you? Also, what happened to the Pog fucking?

Sorry, video temporarily down because as usual I managed to fuck something up on an impressive scale. Fixing now.

Now he's a wild card? Guess they haven't been tuning in.

It's the cabal, Jims onto them and subsequently been silenced!... or he pulled it to fix to glaring error.
