I refuse to take anybody who is angry that a character is wearing pants seriously.
I remember playing Escape from Monkey Island on a CD set we burned from the library copy. Those were the good days.

Back in the day, there was furore over the fact that Michael Keaton - that comedy guy from Beetlejuice - was Batman. How dare they cast a guy from a comedy as Batman?!?!?! But nailed it in practice.
I remember being initially underwhelmed by the change in art style to Wind Waker. Then I saw the ludicrously charming bomb animations (and, you know, actually played the game) and, my God, have I never been happier to have been so wrong. I still, by a hair's breadth, prefer Majora's Mask but a very close second among all the 3D Legend of Zeldas is still some achievement.
All I hear is "Flan-base" and now all I can think of is a Dutch delicacy called "Fla". (basically custard but thicker, almost to the point of pudding but so tasty... FLA... FLA-n-Base.... sorry... back to the show!
